In the most sincere and just totally for scientific curiosity-

**I feel compelled to mention that for future referance in case this ends up being posted somewhere else- that I am not a nazi or endorse nazi views and that I am not trying to implicate anything Nazi-ish. I could see how this might at first hand sound nazi-ish in terms of the "superhuman" view they held in making people supreme by weeding out other races and impurities. but that is not something i endorse **

Tortured Internet Posts, Then Tragedy For an Indiana Family

I came across this article today while doing my daily internet browsing. Someone made a comment in about the article stating "I really think there should be some sort of test before you're allowed on the internet. Once you've proven you're of sound mind and that you're not going to goad others with gossip, then you can access the internet."- someone replied to that "I think you should be given a test before you can procreate"

    An intriging thought.

Why would it be ethiclly wrong to require people to pass a certain test before being allowed to procreate?

    I'll start it off-
Pro- in theory it might have the possibility to reduce certain types of mental diseases and physical disabilities, at least ones that are passed on genetically. Could prevent people who have disabilities that might impair there ability to perform parental functions like ... not killing your children- from having kids.

Con- who decides what qualities are not acceptable and where would you draw the line?
