iPhone app, program or site for free calls?

I thought one could just use gmail's "call phone" feature with an iphone and be able to make calls while in a WiFi hotspot?

I dont see that feauture though when i log into gmail. Is it a view compatability issue or Is there an app i need to install first?

I dont want to use the Voice chat, because youre limited only to call other computer's or phones logged into voice chat.

Anyone know what to do here? Or is there another site/app i can use?

Calls over wifi- I've lookedinto this myself. On an iphone, go to http://m.google.com/voice
You need a google voice acct to do that.
Log in, dial, and call for free, via wifi.
Any number in the country. LD rates are good too.
Let me know if you need more info
