    Damn gym newbs grrrr

So get this shit today, some new fattie as I am doing my squats in the squat rack asks how much longer I'm gonna be. I am respectful said do you want to work in some squats with me. He responds no I want to do shrugs, with a confused look I said well you don't have to use the squat rack for that. NO LIE he says but I do so much weight on shrugs I need to I do like 525, and I'm training to be a bodybuilder right now so you know. I left the whole thing loaded and walked off he couldn't even get the 220 I was squatting down off the rack (not that I am squatting much by any means) he had to unload it to get the bar down. I just laughed at him douche bag, I almost wanted to break out my pimp hand and smack a bitch.

Well bringing down 225 from a high position isn't very safe for anyone. I would have def hung around though to see him load the bar up with 500lbs. Or try that is.

I hear where you are coming from and there has been many threads about this lately. Some times I feel sorry for the newbees. Some times us peeps can be a pain in the ass as well.
We were at the gym on Monday, chest day. The smith press was occupied by 2 guys we have seen at the gym several times now. Rob asked them how much longer til they were done, he wanted to do incline bench. They said 5 min. at most. Rob waited patiently, I on the other hand found something else to do. Time went by and Rob assumed they were done, he moved their bench but the one he wanted in and one of the guys came up to Rob and said that they decided to do an additional exercise. Rob said "too bad, I'm here now".
Honestly, I felt bad for these guys. They went off and did something else while Rob did his thing, but....

I think I would have been less offended if he hadn't thrown in the "I'm training to be a bodybuilder" and looking like he does it was like the punch line to a bad joke.

Ya I had a simialr situation.

I do deadlifts, bent over rows, squats all in the squat rack. So this guy asks me between my 2nd exercise when Ill be done. I tell him few more sets. I take 1 to 2 min break between sets. He stands there waiting for me to finish and tells me to hurry up.

So I say fuck squats ill come back after this douche is done. I leave him the squat rack. Guess what he did.

Thats right, Barbell curls at the squat rack. I almost exploded on this guy.

I love it when people in the gym give you unwanted advice.

Think everyone has had these experiences.
I left my old gym as there where so many incidents.

    My old one was small.
The weight room consisted of one smith machine.
So if you wanted to do Squats or bench you had to wait.

I go in i see a guy doing Bench,
I ask him when he will be finished, He tells me 2 more sets.
He was a skinny guy doing 40kg...we all start somewhere.

I left and came back around 25 minutes later and he was still on it.
Made a joke when i was doing some DB presses that it was a long 2 sets.

Guys gets up and starts ranting about he pays him membership like everyone else and is allowed to take as long as he needs and that i was some stupid kid that knows fuck all...

I was 19 and the time and was like a guerrilla compared to this meerkat.

I told him to calm down because it was only a joke.
He kept on and on to the point i started to get quite pissed off and started shouting at him, This point we made a big scene and i was on the verge of head butting this tit.

Member of staff comes over asks whats going on.

    I tell her
    Came in here around 1
Asked how long he was going to be, he tells me 2 sets.
25 minutes later he is still on the bench.
I make a comments saying that i was a long 2 sets in a joking manner.
Then he starts ranting and raving at me.

Guess who gets banned from the gym.....

So now i workout at home.
Disadvantage are i can't get anyone to spot me
But least i can play my own music and grunt as much as i like.

    Rant over.

    This shit, right here.

If someone told me to "hurry up", I'd have dropped the wight down to a single 5 on each side and done set of 10 with a 60 second RI (so he couldn't work in) for the next hour...right after I told him to fuck off.

When you're waiting for someone else, you should be courteous.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

    LMAO!!

Just remember folks, we all started somewhere. As for smart mouth trash talking
gung-ho clowns (newbies) ...... I have very little tolerance, too! Especially to those jerk'n wads who read books while getting fat eating 6 hamburgers then, deciding, "oh, I should join a gym because I'm reading a "how to work out" book!!! Then, having the audacity to tell me that their methods of lifting maybe better than what I am currently doing.

But, don't worry folks, I then, turn around and asked them how their diets are and what their regimen on that is! I seem to get really dumb answers and/or text book answers. I end up telling them that they obviously memorized a diet book/mag. START IMPLEMENTING!!!
