My gym has great character! You can be yourself at my gym and we blast music there. The equipment is not top of the line but everything else makes up for it And my gym understands gym respect.. and my 2nd gym has No character but Great equipment.. lol except no dumbbells past a 100 lbs. It's the ymca.. but at least I'm the biggest guy there. lol

The gym is for lifting, not socializing. One of the primary uses of my ipod is it allows me to ignore everyone without coming across as a dick. My gym is great. Parking is always good, and only a handful of people use the free weights. There are plenty of machines to keep the goobers busy.

Actually I just moved, but my last gym had private showers. Jlacap would have hated it. I'm planning to use the gym at the University now. It's free anyway. I just have to pretend to be a student.

I like my gym it's got everything I need and no one ever uses the squat racks. Plus they added a room with punching bags and kettle bells.

Parking isn't bad during the summer i like driving the z06 on nice days and just need to walk farther way do to parking away from other cars.
Listen to music while I lift so doesnt matter about the noise.
Dont talk to people while I workout straight business.

I pay $450/yr for a medium size gym with average equipment and bullshit I don't need like a pool and racquetball courts. I'm in a town of 20,000 peeps so my options are very limited. At 6am I'm 1 of 8-15 in there and most of those are retirees on treadmills or machines.

Gym is the cheapest in town, so I know half the people there, approx 22,000 members as per ownership
It can be absolutely silent, or noisy as shit, depending on the day. I wear headphones unless its dead, so I don't care.
Not hard to meet people, cause I know so many already, everyone is really cool.
Parking is normally kinda shitty

I used to pay $20 a month for unlimited gym and tan, until they sold the gym to someone else. I just moved so don't actually have a gym where I live yet. Plus, I'm recovering from a broken leg still.
