A good spotter is hard to find.

Am I imagining things or is it nearly impossible to find someone to give you a decent spot.
I train alone now because it was frustrating having a training partner always fucking up your session because he couldn't give a proper spot.
Whether it was too much/too little help or not paying attention while it was your turn.
Just want to know, is it just me?

I agree. It's all about picking a good gym. If there are other real lifters around, it makes life easier training by yourself. And if you have to drop the weight, nobody cares.

It is very nice to have some experience behind you when making lifts. just tell whoever you are working with exactly what you want. How many reps and how much help to give. I tell my brother to let me get the brunt of the weight but just keep the weight moving. When the weight stops completely that pisses me off. I like working out alone but having a partner definately improves my lifts because im not worried about hurting myself as much. Especially flat bench and squat.
Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder but dont nobody wanna lift this heavy ass weight. R.C.

I also hate the dude that runs over to take the weight off when you don't need help.
