I spent about 3hrs one day on this Home » TransparentNevada. There must have been a good 300 ff in Vegas and police in Henderson that were making over 250K a year some over 400K. which is some pretty good $ considering that here in Vegas like 90% of the times when they roll fire trucks it ends up being medical related.

While I do love and support my local LE and FF it's this type of abuse that needs to stop ASAP. not only are they padding their pensions which are based on the last years salary they are bankrupting local governments. when I was little people don't do that line of work to get rich or was it even possible on such a grand scale.

lol @ local cops and firefighters making 200-400k a year. we have a serious budget deficit here in NV and a high school graduation rate of less than 45% and they are reducing the education budget from UNLV down to primary.

* But I would but the bank that noting really comes of this or only some "slight" changes in the regulations are made. nobody ever wants to make the tough decisions when it comes to politics and being truly fiscally conservative. they can't do it at the local level and don't do it at the national level. Obama won't really do anything either in terms of seriously reducing the budget deficit, etc. just like every other president since WWII ended which is why we are paying the price for 65 years of living on credit/debt now. Take for example the banks that were to big to fail, which cost taxpayers trillions. Why haven't they been broken up banks and the regulations re-instated such as the Glass-Steagall and the Commodities Futures Modernization Acts? why are derivatives and credit default swaps still allowed?

history has already told us that those with money & power do not relinquish those things easily. they spent a lot of time, effort while spilling the blood of others to acquire it. this is why I and many others paint a gloom economic picture for the US in years to come. we are still fighting wars which have always again historically bankrupted nations, yet the US continues even after WWII bankrupted Europe.

in AA they teach you that the definition of insanity is to continue the same behavior yet expect a different result, but yet we continue as a country making bad economic decisions, decade after decade, president after president.

ah yes but people have bought into american exceptionalism, even many of the non-religous which sadly adds fuel to the fire. in psychology you learn that when a person believes they are better than others for reasons not based on logic it is a classic hallmark of a personality disorder and classic trait of the sociopath.

A lot of the corruption by Police, Fire Fighter departments around the US has been coming to light.
