I don't know what doctors deal are now a days and pain meds they act like a pain in the ass about them. I mean thats what they make the damn things for, prescribe them damn it. I mean it's easier to ride in the trailer park and get them. Hell the local weed dealers usually have them now.

Buck up man. I had all 4 impacted and pulled at the same time. The love of my life let me stand in line at the pharmacy, swollen and drawling all over my self. My face was swollen for days. If he posts the pics, he dies.

Sara is going to get mad but I am calling him tonight and telling him to call in at least 4 more for me tomorrow. The doctor is a young arrogant guy, I'm not looking forward to talking to him. I just don't want to come off as a drug seeker.

u can take the powder asprin like goodies or i use bayer cool mint pack it in tooth will help alot and will not cause any issues actually protects it.also keep toungue off it we have tendency when in pain to mess with it that just irratates it more....sorry bro

They fear the DEA, that's why I love my Neurologist now, he rants on the DEA all the time, he's one of few who believes in Pain Management anymore, he's very knowledgeable about all the options and the only one who figured out I have Facet Joint syndrome, not even this shit hot orthopedist who specialized in sports medicine and rehab figured it out and thats because he would only spend like 10 minutes with me, my neurologist charges by the hour and talks with you for that hour....

For me the hydrocodone actually caused more pain than the healing of the oral surgery itself. After the first one, I just stick to ibuprofin ~800mg every 4 depending on the pain. I have one wisdom tooth left, my dentist lets me drag this out which is kind of nice (age 31).

The last one I had pulled, the pain lasted about 2 weeks. It was impacted and took quite awhile to get out. Plus it was a lower wisdom tooth, so there was extra torquing on the jaw, jaw muscles were worked a ton, it was a real ordeal and had massive headaches from that.

Its possible your jaw could have been fractured (was it lower)? This happened to a co worker friend of mine. A couple weeks later she went back in and they removed bone fragments from her gums and then her pain went away.
