Report: CBS Wants Charlie Sheen Back on 'Two and a Half Men'
The network had nothing to do with the termination of the actor from the sitcom, which is why they want Sheen to settle his dispute with Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre.
Charlie Sheen may not rely on live tours and paid appearances after all. There are reports out there that apart from FOX, CBS also wants the actor to return because the network did not do the firing from "Two and a Half Men". NBC's correspondent Jeff Ross tweeted, "Sources close to Charlie Sheen tell NBC News, CBS has offered him his job back. Discussions ongoing. Not a done deal."
Sheen's spokesman declined to comment on the rumor. But Ross continued to dish out more details such as, "Per my sources: CBS is happy to have Charlie Sheen back on show...IF Warner Bros, Chuck Lorre, and Sheen can settle differences" and "To be clear, there are 2 companies involved. Sources say, CBS would be happy to take Charlie back, but he still needs to reach deal with WB."
On Monday, talks were brewing that FOX executives had sat down with Sheen to discuss a possible project for him. Rumor has it, they were planning a talk show for Sheen who also posted a cryptic message on Twitter, saying "perhaps a new lair...? A Fox and a Warlock? epic" in companion of a picture of a FOX television logo.
Sheen was fired earlier this month from "Two and a Half Men" for making public insults toward producer Chuck Lorre. CBS chief executive Les Moonves reportedly wanted to get Sheen back on the show so bad that he spoke with Lorre. The network has about six weeks to decide whether to bring back "Two and a Half Men" for a ninth season, with or without Sheen.

according to everyone I heard interviewed that worked with Sheen he was a complete professional on the set, never late, never high, never disrespectful, etc., so firing him for what he did in his personal life seems to be crossing the lines IMO.

Ya, from what I understand, what he does personally should not affect his contract in any way. Which seems to be understandable since the has been virtually untouchable. I also heard about his professional attitude on set, which says allot to me. I am a little biased because I kinda like the guy and watched him growing up, but his turn down crazy street and seeing all his scatterbrained rants turned me off to really liking him that much anymore.
