At least 3 U.S. drilling companies have been given permits to drill in the gulf since February, including 2 from Houston. Red Herring?

Also, Petrobras is being allowed to drill there because they were given a permit in 2006 to do so by G-Dub with some sort of floating apparatus.

Also, Soros' company dropped all of it's Petrobras stock in 2010, which is how it became state-owned. (Bloomberg)

IMO we shouldn't be drilling there until we have proven safe methods of doing so, let other countries poison their waters, I'm fine paying $5 a gallon as long as we have clean water off the coast.

you should realize by now that multi-national corporations run the US government and dictate economic policy, they have all the power and money. DEM or GOP POTUS it doesn't matter, EVERYTHING in this country is about money, short term economic growth and not about the long term welfare of the people that live here.

when looking at foreign nations you have to look at the oil producing nations and our trade history with them. when you look at domestic affairs one only need to look at the PAC's and the stock market to see who's really running the show.
