biggest find since the Dead Sea Scrolls?

Could this be the biggest find since the Dead Sea Scrolls? 70 metal books found in cave in Jordan could change our view of Biblical history | Mail Online

For scholars of faith and history, it is a treasure trove too precious for price.
This ancient collection of 70 tiny books, their lead pages bound with wire, could unlock some of the secrets of the earliest days of Christianity.
Academics are divided as to their authenticity but say that if verified, they could prove as pivotal as the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947.

On pages not much bigger than a credit card, are images, symbols and words that appear to refer to the Messiah and, possibly even, to the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Adding to the intrigue, many of the books are sealed, prompting academics to speculate they are actually the lost collection of codices mentioned in the Bible’s Book Of Revelation.

my son and i have started hiking along the river again now that it's thawing out along the shores. sunday i found a porcelain beer bottle cover in perfect condition with a company name dating it to between 177 to 183 years old. pretty cool but i wish i could find stuff like these books instead.

It could take years before they release the text.

Aside from arrowheads, the only "old" thing I've found was a pull-tab Pepsi can from the 70s.

all i found was the cap but i can probably get a useful little chunk of change for just that. they are highly collectible n this one is rare.

i found an actual "witch jar" last year with a perfectly bound lock of human hair still sealed in it. not much of what i find is valuable but it is fun and great exercise. i get caught up in hunting then after several hours i'm shocked at the amount of earth i moved.

    You kn(snip)

i know people and i do know EXACTLY who you are.

you're that kid in the crowd of neighborhood kids that is too old for diapers but he still needs them. it's a hot sunny day and you're standing there miserable and whiny with a big load of shit in your pants while the other kids play ball. you want them to notice your misery so you whine and act like an irritating little dickhead. you're too stupid to clean up your own mess and make your life less miserable. instead of doing that you're here spreading your misery around. go unload your diaper punk, no one here cares.

    you read the article?

But the mysteries between their ancient pages are not the books’ only riddle. Today, their whereabouts are also something of a mystery.
they're gone and i doubt they'll re surface.

But the mysteries between their ancient pages are not the books’ only riddle. Today, their whereabouts are also something of a mystery. After their discovery by a Jordanian Bedouin, the hoard was subsequently acquired by an Israeli Bedouin, who is said to have illegally smuggled them across the border into Israel, where they remain.
However, the Jordanian Government is now working at the highest levels to repatriate and safeguard the collection.

well there is hope they will be recovered. it's why i said it will be a long wait to ever know what they say. it's a shame people can't just cooperate on things like this. it's is fascinating history.

it's a trend thing among those who consider themselves in the know about the dark

In this world of electronic enslavement, Satan and his pulsating brain, also known as the world-wide web, control almost everyone with a set of three nine-digit numbers, or 999. The bank routing numbers for checking accounts are always nine digits. The full zip code now has nine digits. The social security number also has nine digits. How many transactions require these three nines? We must also remember that in the world of the occult, words are often spelled backwards, and numbers are inverted or written upside down when possible. This is believed to amplify the power of the word or number. The word murder is written red-rum, which is its mirror image. . . . Thus, the number of the beast, or 666, is inverted and becomes 999, and almost every American is ruled by these three, above mentioned, nine-digit numbers.

Wow, this turned on it's head for a minute. So, to get back on topic here.

Forgotten Books :: Free Books :: Classics, Philosophy, Myth

A whole host of old literature; fiction, science, religion, and other texts from all around the world from the last 3000 years. All books are available to download for free and bound copies are also sold through amazon.com.

I hope they find those texts and get them in print. If only Alexandria hadn't burned, imagine how much we would know? Science, Mathematics, Astronomy, and MUSIC! You can't tell me that what we consider "classical" music was some of the earliest use of musical theory. Of course, we'll never know...unless there are more than just religious works stored in The Vatican.

There are so much speculation about Vatican and what they have in their archives, the first bible which was written by the Councul Of Nicaea, so much info about Templar's, old scripts from Egypt and so on...one of the best kept secrets are in those secure catacombs under Vatican...

The vatican, the biggest fraud ever sold! None of those even come close to the Sumerian cylinder seals, or cuneiform tablets that were written in stone 3-4000 years BCE, the very 1st written language. A lot of their writings have similarities to just about all civilaztions on the globe, with just the names and a few story lines changed, or lost in the translation to best suit the tellers ways of life.

With all this shit going on in the world, all the shenanigans, I'm almost convinced that there's parts of this story that we weren't told, or it was omitted by design.

But those tablets exist, have been deciphered and the stories they tell are fascinating...
