    Supporting Lybian rebels? WHY?

Why would we support Lybian rebels? We don't even know who the rebels are and what their objectives are.

I know it worked well when the US supported Castro!

Because the US is doing what it's always done in the Middle East: pick the lesser evil and wait for it to bite you in the ass later.

In the Middle East, there are no good guys—with the exception of Israel.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Welcome to Obama's War for Oil.

How many US troops do you think we have on the ground already?

Then why don't we just stay out of it, let Gaddafi kill all the rebels and continue to get our oil? We don't have to do anything about "oil".

    It's called oil prices

Brent Crude and WTI, that is.

The United States gets very little in the way of oil from that country - however, other european backers of the UN resolution to support the rebels DO get a good amount of oil from them. One of the largest being France. With that said, I believe Sarkozy got Obama in a private chamber and forced him to say yes by giving him titty twisters.

He is now taking clomi to bring down the puff, though I believe his test levels will never be at normal levels again and consequently have raisin nuts for the rest of his tenure.

Libya is the largest oil producing nation in Africa so that means it's our business...

remember we have 4% of the world population yet consume 25% of the crude, when it comes to the US there is never enough of anything..
