I'm in love with it man. My wife said I've been playing with it more than her. Lol but it's a really smooth bow. 82 lbs draw so it's stout. I shot it in my back yard and it went threw my target and the fence and my neighbors garage. With 100 grain Easton arrow.

and we're sure this is just a bow? not some stripped-down rail gun?

Hell of a bow, could take down an Elk or Moose with that thing. Going through that many things, what kind of FPS does it shoot arrows at?

Yeah what kind is it? Looks neat. Me, my son, daughter and finace have a bow. My son is shooting for his school team and they go to the state finals April 30! If they place at states, we go to nationals in New Mexico.

I'd like to get a mongol replicant bow, those have always intrigued me....

My father and I made a hand-crafted native american style bow with arrows for a school project once, but my brother broke it dry firing it....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

What percent let off are they up to now? When I used to shoot, 5+ years ago, they were at 80%. Not that you really need much more then that.

This guy designs bows for professional shooters. He builds these prototypes before he sells the plans to other companies. My dad knows the guy from school. This one is a year old(not this bow but the brand) my dad just got his new one that hasn't hit anywhere and it looks like a space ship. Here's some info on mine.http://www.bowhuntingmag.com/field_t..._sr-71_102710/

Don't know if it let u open it but that's the link.

I'm also a scrub at best. I'm used to .308's and shotguns but my dad wants to go bow hunting so I had to read up quick. The draw on this one is 82 which is pretty stout.

Damn I can buy a nice gun for that, and it doesn't need much more than a bullet and me lining it up. Bows are cool as hell but I will take guns over them any day.

Try $1100 for a bare Hoyt Carbon Element. I'm trying to justify trading in my Hoyt Alphamax on a new one.
