Well its gonna be alot of her being mad in the near future, Sixers and Flyers are in the playoffs and Phillies season just started. These things go together with boys night out very nicely.

congrats on the cliff lee thing btw. phillies are gonna be insane this year. I didnt think he wanted to stay here in texas, but I'm kinda glad we didn't sign him for 7/8 years and a sht ton of money. he'll prob only be elite for 2/3 more years tops

This is an interesting topic. Partly because I have two situations at the other end of the spectrum. My DH doesn't really "hang with the guys" too much, likes sports but isn't rabid about them, and actually likes hanging with me and our daughter and watching TV... but I've been "one of the guys" since we were teenagers. My BIL is COMPLETELY whipped. i.e.; I go over their house Saturday morning to get the kids together to play and my SIL asks me if I want coffee. I say sure. Now, I could get it myself, I've worked their coffeemaker before, but she instructs him to do it. Not only does he ask me for very specifically how much cream and sugar to put it, he waits while I taste it, and is friggin happy as a clam to do it. He's like that all the time.

Here's my theory, tell me if you agree or not: it's a control issue. As in the case of the whipped BIL, some women (how many is up for discussion) have to be in control. Of everything. If the kid is going off to school and the man is handling it, she has to go over everything with them... homework in the backpack? Teeth brushed? "Correct" jacket/clothing on? etc. Or if he's driving, OH MY GOD you're too close, can you not go so fast? Why didn't you get off at that exit? .... and so on and so forth. If she didn't do it or handle it, she doesn't know it's done "right."

I have zero sympathy for all of you. At least you can maintain a relationship. I have to pretend to be a completely different person just to get my foot in the door. Years of failure at human relations and getting my heart ripped out has turned me into the most cynical and entrusting person on the planet. I have gotten laid more in the last two years than my whole life put together, but has deeply entrenched a hatred of the human species.

Try to be nice and kind, and they lose interest. Be a rude and cocky dickhead, and they love me for it. I have learned to summon an alter ego of myself for the purposes of getting their attention, and then I hate them for falling for it. Its the biggest god damn joke. That is why I like hookers. I can be myself with a hooker.

i went through that hate phase for awhile after getting dumped by my first real love. got burned a few times after that too, but eventually I found a good girl and got over it. not everyone out there is a piece of sht man. trust me, theres a lot of em out there but there's still some normal good women out there. I think our biggest problem is she deserves better than me... but i try my best. Ups and downs but I love her and could careless about those gross whores I used to try to be with.

The meathead stereotypes are obsolete. As my best friend put it, the intellectual nerds and eggheads having invaded the gyms with a vengeance.
