A simple video explaining why this shit is just more corporate greed.

of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.

No gym for home, work out floor with 30, but is it for 20 like 30 lb when you no lift it to be for men, for 30 lbs instead? or half is 10 for 20 pounds?

I've said it before, but it bears repeating it now: I can't be pigeon-holed.
I lean strongly towards Republican ideas, but differ on some key issues. I'm fine with being called a Republican, but it in no way completely describes me.
On topic, it's like Gena says, if they shit passes in the US, we'll get even more fiscally raped by the corporations. This crap is nothing more than corporations trying to create artificial scarcity.

its already in place for cell phones, I could see internet access going the same way.

Well, if you lean strongly Democrat, then that, in the political spectrum, is what you are. It's why I don't mind being called a Republican.
However, both groups are getting to be to extreme and I may find myself having to use the label of "independent."
I'd fucking kill for a president that is truly conservative.

This was an excellent post
Privatisation of information is a serious and dangerous threat to liberty. A return to medieval serfdom is one potential outcome of this slippery slope into regression.
Unfortunately for the champions of intellectual property/patent rights , this is also an argument against private property. To control an idea is to control other people's thoughts. To control other people's thoughts is the intention of propaganda.

May the plop be on you.

If this happens I'll take up gardening.
I am onboard, Doms. I have been following this since it's inception. It is a thinly veiled corporate money grab with heavy use of their washington lobbiests to pass this craptastic idea. I am all for free market, but not at the expense of our freedom and raping of our wallets. Telcos, cable and cell phone (especially cell phone with internet) companies have been bending us over a barrel for a long time - it's almost like they are making backroom deals in smoke filled rooms.
They are also trying to turn the internet into a tv based package platform to rake in billions of extra revenue when they are already robbing us blind.
I should know a bit about it - I WORK for one of these companies and I don't get a break either. Sorry for the kinda long pic, but it fits the topic well...
