I saw this little shit stain on tv a few days ago with his mom - his mom of course enables the kid and blames the cops. Looks like trailer trash of coarse, but thats besides the point. If the kid was getting violent and using objects to hurt or threaten, go ahead and fill the little pisspots eyesockets full of pepper. The mom needs a dose as well.

If any of my kids were acting like that, I would buy the cops dinner afterwards, then go home to the offender and mop the floor up with them.

The kid is a worthless piece of garbage for sure, but a cop has no fucking right to pepper spray a second grade kid. Pepper spray is a defensive weapon, not a tool teach unruly perpetrators a lesson. Same goes for tazors. you don't pepper spray or taze civilians just because they are shit bags.

The kid had a weapon. A knife to be exact. (Yes, you can argue semantics because it was made out of wood but, it was still a knife.) He was threatening to use it. He STILL says he wanted to use it. Little piece of shit is lucky he didn't get shot. Many MANY times use of a firearm (by both police and civilians) to defend against a knife attack has been ruled justified.

Police exist in the executive branch, not the judicial branch. It is the job of cops to protect and serve, not teach little spoiled brat kids a lesson. The mentality of a cop that would do this is dangerous. The cop should be fired for having the common sense of a peanut.

Do I concede that the pepper-spray went too far? Sure, I suppose so. This all comes down to bad parenting and a shit-bird kid. The cops came into a situation and made a judgment call on an asshole kid - too many asshole kids grow up to be bigger assholes because they weren't put in their place when it should have occurred. Then the mom just exacerbates the situation and the kids behavior further for more trouble down the road. If there was a rule that if a kid acted like a punk like that and got peppered, I bet the little punk wouldn't be too willing to take it there too many times. Middle eastern man caught stealing = hand cut off. Result? Allot less stealing. This is extreme, but you see my point. Yes, i know it's not the policemans job to parent - but for crissakes, when will the parenting start? We'll be paying for him in lockup in no time.
