funny I don't remember a democrat or liberal spreading supply-side economics which has pretty much fucked up the global economy, that was all Reagan. there is not one higher learing institution in the world that teaches supply-side economics, must be a reason for that...

but to be fair to Ronnie, as all presidents he was simply a tool used to put into place the economic policy's that the wealthy wanted at that time after all the social reform, etc. that occurred in the 60's and 70's. Obama was obviously selecting being a progressive in hopes to slow down the direction the US is headed in.


the reality is you don't know jack squat about your political party or economics at all if you think the markets are free here are some examples of "free markets" in the US:

ALL COMMODITIES - imports and exports are regulated by the government this means the jobs associated with these markets are also regulated.

auto industry - imports and exports are regulated by the government this means the jobs associated with these markets are also regulated...

medical field & education fields - there is only so many Dr's, teachers, etc. that the US government allows to enter the country for work, these jobs are regulated.

State licensing boards - at first glance they appear to be there to insure quality but the main reason is to limit the people from states that can do work in other states, these jobs are regulated..

the ONLY jobs that are not regulated in the US are low-skilled labor jobs...so please just STFU when it comes to this topic because you don't know jack, and it's painfully obvious by your posts...

to be technical in order for the markets to truly be free all corporations, patents and copy rights would have to be nullified and/or voided...

all the economic data points to the economic policy's started under Reagan...
they economists over the world have been righting about it for the past 20 years easy.

the first graph shows incomes from Post WWII 1945 to 1982. Reagan was elected in 81 this allows one year for some of his economic policy's regarding taxes, banking, etc. to take effect.

that's were you are mistaken...liberals do not think that government is the fix we know that it HAS to be part of the solution because it helped cause the problem. human history combined with the results of the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 proves that company's will not make the changes unless they are forced to...letting a bunch of sociopathic CEO's and hedge fund managers determine the fate of the American people isn't even a viable option...
