Damn, shitty story bro
But I'm glad to see that you have found a positive outlet (hitting the weights) it's a lot more commendable then what most people do to cheer themselves up. On a personal note, I'd say skip sending the flowers. If she's fucked you over does she really deserve them? |

I'm glad you found the gym to be your sanctuary...keep your head up! It's so cool to see a Dad being a Father to his kid.

OMG! That sounds similar to my divorce that I just went through.
urso8up, I feel and KNOW your pain. I don't have kids but it still hurts. My ex and I was suppose to get back together and work things out and I actually moved a 1000 miles and left my job and everything for him and within a week he changed his mind as well. I moved back with him in the beginning of September and was divorced 3 weeks later. He didn't even give it a shot! Now he is living with some hoochie in less than 2 months. I know this is sad but I just think of how much I would love to kick her ass when I need a good pick me up at the gym. Works well with squats! LOL! Well at least I have a better body than her. LOL! Sorry, now you've all had to listen to my rant again. ![]() Anyway, welcome to IM! ![]() |

Hey dude, congrats on finding the gym as an outlet and getting your priorities straight. I'd skip the flowers, like you said you still love her. You'd be better off to not let her know that, because sounds like she seems to want to use that to her advantage whenever she needs something. And you love her so you'd be there all the time, but it might be better for you in the long run to not let her know you'll always be there. That way she doesn't use you as a crutch, and end up hurting you more.

Gotta get in on this. First off, sorry to hear about the situation.Secondly, you gotta stay away from her.If she knows you still will do anything for her then she will use that. Also , down the line you are going to be wanting to eventually meet other women and if you are still wanting your ex it will make keeping someone you want to get to know very hard. Hell, she might only be nice and good to you when she hears about another woman. You are a person though, and she can't be making nice with you one minute and gone the next. If shes hanging out with her ex.... let it go. It sounds harsh, but there is nothing good to come of you being nice to her etc. You are allowed to treat her as a person but I urge you to think about what is facilitating everything she is saying or doing.Make sure you handle it all very thoroughly because you sound like a nice guy who might get used, and I hate seeing that .Keep going to the gym and even try to do more hobbies if you can to keep your mind fresh and unstressed. She obviously wants it over, you should just quit it so that she doesnt gain power over the situation and start trying to control your life, when things start to go well for you. This is all just my opinion ,but I have seen guys make this mistake time and time again. Probably for thousands of years sh#t like this has been going on. Good luck buddy and be smart.

Hi! I'm not divorced but I too have given up the gym too many times for someone else! My ex-bf here in Vegas started getting upset saying that I spent too much time there! WTF ever! lol
I wised up for once and got rid of him and not the gym! It is an amazing place to find yourself....it's definitely helped me learn who I really am! You sound like a great father...take that time to focus on yourself and your son! Let her go.....I know it will be very difficult but in the end the best thing to do. Do not let her continue to control you okay? Take care ![]() |
