Police have identified one of the two teens busted for allegedly beating up a transgender woman at a Maryland McDonald's earlier this month.
Teonna Monae Brown, 18, was charged with one count of first-degree assault and two counts of misdemeanor second-degree assault, police said.
A 14-year-old was also arrested, but will be charged as a juvenile.
The pair is believed to be responsible for brutally assaulting Chrissy Lee Polis at the McDonald's in Rosedale, a suburb of Baltimore. The savage attack was captured on video which was posted online - and quickly went viral.
The 22-year-old transgender woman claimed the beating was a "hate crime," alleging the pair targeted her because of her sexual identity.
Polis also claims to have been assaulted before for being transgender.
"I was really upset to see this, because [she] has taken a couple of beatings since [she has] been out there," said Polis' grandmother, Edna Stebbings, according to WBALTV 11 News in Baltimore.
Video of the brutal attack in Maryland was posted online.
The beat down took place on April 18. The video shows two women brutally kicking Polis repeatedly, then dragging her through the fast-food joint while continuing to assault her.
One McDonald's staff member, as well as an elderly customer, is seen trying to help the victim.
However, other workers at the McDonald's can clearly be seen in the video standing by and doing nothing.
"They all just sat there and watched," Polis told the Baltimore Sun on Saturday.
The McDonald's employee who used his cell phone to record the attack, 22-year-old Vernon Hackett, was later fired.
McDonald's called the incident "unacceptable, disturbing and troubling," and the owner of the Rosedale franchise said the video was "unfathomable and reprehensible."

the first time I pleaded down to disorderly conduct but that cost about $7K in legal fees back in the late 80's. the 2nd time the guy turned out to be a lawyer who lied on his complaint and stated that I hit him in the head with a bottle so I was charged with Agg Assult for that one, pleaded down to Simp assault at the cost of about $15K in legal fees in '94. 2 years later the same lawyer was busted for installing a listening device on his ex-gf bedroom phone and was hit with a felony and disbarred in PA. he found me on Facebook about a year ago and apologized, as did I apparently he still suffers from headaches..lol the 2nd time I was still in the Navy when NIS came to speak to my CO. fortunately SF guy's getting into fights in the civilian world is nothing new so at least I didn't feel the wrath of the UCMJ.
I would change nothing and would do the same thing today...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

The beat down.
