You can make a Chrysler K car fast, but it's still a fucking k car. Same goes for a Pasaat. Sure you can make it quick, but why in the hell would you want to?!

At the time I was driving 70K miles a year and had several diesel pickups previously until diesel hit.....get this....$2/gal then I said f*ck a truck, I'll get a diesel car and my only options at the time was VW. Even modded, that car got 39mpg with the cruise set at 80mph. The nice part was about it was my mods were either cheap or free because I was the only one crazy enough seriously to mod a diesel Passat. Up until I did the FMIC and turbo and it wasn't much work. 5 minutes to swap the ECM and 1 hr to swap injectors. The trans shop had it for a day to swap the converter.

And I agree with the K-car analogy but with a diesel it's so simple to add big HP and TQ gains unlike a gas car. My first mod alone of swapping the ECM dropped the 1/4 mile time by 1.5 seconds and it took all of 5 minutes.

We've had a 2001 Ford Focus since it was brand new and it has been perfect. We've spent no more than a grand on repairs these last ten years, but it is getting quite old now. We're thinking of trading it in for something new, but want your opinions. Our other vehicle is a 2003 Town and Country that we rarely use with less than 50K miles on it.

We've been admiring the Buick Enclave and really like the brown one.

Does anyone own one or know anything about them or something similiar/better?
First of all. What is the purpouse of the new car/suv/truck/whatever model you want is going to be used for? I have a 2001 Focus ZX3 (hatchback) lowered myself and it hauls and is quick and nimble as shit. I have more room in this car than my ex's 2008 Mustang. I dont understand that. Big ass car, small inside????

Anyways I like the choice of the Buick, GMC has stepped their game and I bet even maybe offer 100k power-train warranty, or something like that. If youre old the Buick will work lol but the main points in buying a vehicle today are, Mileage, Uses and Brand Quality.

I've been happy with my 2009 Mazda 6. Fun to drive and pretty stylish interior.

It's funny you mention that. Our other car is a 2001 Ford Focus ZTS. It's the first car we bought new, that was loaded and had leather seats. I will never buy another vehicle again without leather. With that said, it has been an exceptional ride. After 10 years I haven't had any major problems. The most expensive thing I've had to replace are the special low-profile tires that usually cost a pretty penny, but that's it. We've been spoiled by our minivan that's loaded and higher off the ground too. That's why we're thinking of an SUV.

I've owned a Honda and it was great, but every repair was expensive. I would like to get something new by next spring.
