Like true science, a wide range of scientists gathered the evidence in order to discover how biology here on Earth works. Inevitibly this allows them to dismiss what is untrue based on the conclusion. As a result the fundamental core of Christianity has been exposed as pure fiction.

How much more evidence do you need to see in order to accept the facts of evolution? A monkey giving birth to a human? It's not gonna happen because that's not how evolution works.

The onus is hardly on me. I'm not here to prove God to anybody. I could care less if you believe in God or not. Ultimately people need to find out for themselves. I recognized a long time ago where my circle of influence is and it is hardly those that I only come in contact with over an internet forum.

WOW, you haven't read a thing DOMS or I have written in this entire thread have you? It's obvious you didn't think about this before you posted it. you should re-read what you type before you hit submit.

Like I said I am as qualified to participate in Sunday School as I am a laboratory. The scientific community you speak of accepts my BS degree from my religious university as well as or better than state run and non-religious universities. I'm confident my career has never been hindered, or has my education been seen as inferior due to the religious school I attended. In fact I know it has been advanced due to the fact that the reputation of my school is stellar in the scientific and business communities. To even think otherwise shows a total lack of understanding for the truth.

You speak of evolution. have you even read Darwin's book? The funny thing is how you speak of evolution as fact. Evolution is the best theory we have given the present evidence. I'm more than capable and happy to have a discussion on evolution. What's also interesting is that the theory of evolution has been in constant change since Darwin's scientifically ground breaking theory was first published in 1859. If you have read Darwin's book you would know it set us on a wonderful path of learning, but with now over 150 years of scientific learning since that time many of the things Darwin wrote about are factually untrue. Where will our human understanding be in another 150 years? what direction will out learning today take us? If you were to bring Darwin to our day he would hardly recognize what has become of his own theory.

My definition of a bible thumper is: a Christian, especially a fundamentalist or evangelical Christian, considered to be overly zealous in haranguing or censuring others.

While I am a Christian it would be hard pressed to call me a fundamentalist, or evangelical Christian. When have I harangued or tried to censure others? If I disagree with someones point of view I say so, but i don't censure others. If anyone has done censuring on this forum Prince you would have to be the main culprit.

Of course a religious University degree is recognized in the scientific fields, it's just Christianity that isn't recognized by the majority. If Christian universities were enrolling Christians only to send them out as atheist agnostics the institution would be shut down immediately.

You keep rambling about Darwin's doubts regarding his theory as if that gives you some kind of credibility. It doesn't. Darwin didn't doubt his theory, he simply kept an open mind to further his understanding as he didn't know anything of genetics or DNA.

Have you read "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Richard Dawkins a Proffesor of Evolutionary Biology? Why use a 150 year old version of a theory as an example when we have an up to date version of the theory that only validates Darwin as being the brilliant mind who discovered how life evolved naturally?

You honestly think Darwin would not recognize his own theory? He would be blown away by the advancement of knowledge and no doubt be satisfied with his theory on an entirely new level. I wish he could come back to see what impact he has had on the scientific community and receive the recognition that he deserved back when this was a controversial topic to discuss.
He was a devout Christian before discovering the theory therefore I admire him for courageously seeking the truth despite having preconceived beliefs.

I can't tell you how many times I was given little Bible's on my way to and from class at college, only to burn them and urinate on them later that night.

I can't tell you how many times crazy people would set up shop in a highly trafficked courtyard shouting shenanigans at people, trying to press down their beliefs.

My ex claimed one night that she would be able to forgive the hypothetical murderer of her sister because she believes in forgiveness and that that's what God would want of her.

If somebody murdered my brother, not only would I not forgive, I would pay prisoners inside the prison to ream his asshole and mouth to the point of death.

I can forgive somebody for spilling a glass of milk on my carpet. In fact, I don't sweat the small stuff and don't care about shit like that. But if we're talking the death of family or friends, to me, forgiveness is laughable.
