Chris Evans is losing it...
We've always thought Chris Evans was hot, and his Captain America body has skyrocketed him to a whole new level.
So why is Mr. Evans fretting about his future as the patriotic superhero? You won't believe what he told me...
"I have no problem saying this, but I'm losing my hair," he said at the MTV Movie Awards.
Here's the deal: Evans is signed up for three Captain America flicks and three Avengers movies. "The fear is this [role] can span 10 years so I can be doing this character until I'm 40," he explained. "I'm supposed to be like this superior human. He can't be balding...How horrible would it be if this superior man has male pattern baldness?"
Evans is not, however, worrying about his muscly physique. "That I can control," he smiled.
He hits the gym almost every day. "It's a lot more than I'd like it to be, but you know, if I miss three or four days, I feel like s—t," he said.
Running is not part of his workout. "Last year, I got into running and I was like, 'I'm going to start running and then I would run on the treadmill and feel great," he said. "But I'll get too thin. I lose weight so quickly."
But now the big question is who has the best superhero body in the Avengers?
Mark Ruffalo, who's trained pretty hard to become the Hulk , can't pick just one. "It's a tossup," he told us at Global Green USA's Millennium Awards. "But I would say Scarlett Johansson...But then it would be Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. They're pretty strapping boys themselves."
Oh, Mr. Ruffalo, don't sell your lean, mean and green bod too short.

UPDATE: THOR Sequel Slated For 2013; Kenneth Branagh NOT Returning To Direct!
UPDATE: THOR Sequel Slated For 2013; Kenneth Branagh NOT Returning To Direct!
Recent reports reveal that Marvel and Disney are not only moving forward with a sequel to their praised-THOR film, but doing so without it's original director, Kenneth Branagh!
It's been almost two months since Marvel & Kenneth Branagh's praised-THOR movie hit theaters, grossing $437 million worldwide. And with the Marvel Studios' president of production, Kevin Fiege, revealing last month that a sequel had only been discussed, Deadline has surprisingly revealed it's intended release, but that's not all they've revealed. It seems Iron Man 3 won't be the only 2013 sequel with a new director.
Marvel Studios is making a full commitment to Thor 2, with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the title hero. Marvel will need to hire a director for that film because, I've learned, Kenneth Branagh won't be returning as helmer. His exit was "mutual and amicable," I'm told. That means a big job is out there that a lot of directors and their agents will be chasing over the upcoming holiday. Disney will today finalize a release date for Thor 2, which will be released sometime in the summer, 2013. Variety reports it'll release July 26!
The site further states that Branagh will most likely be involved in some "producing capacity." Regarding who the God Of Thunder will face off with this time around, there were more rumors last month suggesting that The Enchantress and The Executioner were in contention. What do you think?
Anyhow, with Iron Man 3 slated for May 3, The Avengers releases May 4, next year!

Chris Hemsowrth Shares Thoughts On Kenneth Branagh Passing On THOR Sequel!
Chris Hemsowrth Shares Thoughts On Kenneth Branagh Passing On THOR Sequel!
The actor behind Marvel'sGod of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth, shares his saddened thoughts THOR director KennethBranagh
not returning to helm the sequel. Check it out!
Late last month, MarvelStudiosset an official release date for the sequel to their Kenneth Branagh-directed Thor movie,
along with the unfortunate news that Branagh won't be returning to helm. And chatting recently with the L.A. Times' Hero Complex, the star behind the Mighty Avenger, Chris Hemsworth shared saddened thoughts on Branagh's decision. During San Diego Comic-Con, Hemsworth says:
“I’m really disappointed, Ken built that character and everything I know about the Thor world I learned while shoulder-to-shoulder with Ken. I learned so much from him. As long as he’s happy that’s the thing,” said Hemsworth, who left San Diego to return to the New Mexico set of ”The Avengers.” “I learned so much from Ken while we built [the first film] so at least I had that time with someone like that. The start of anything creative is the most important period in a way. That’s when the most can go wrong and Ken made sure we got it right.”
The article further quotes Hemsworth stating the studio will decide fairly soon on Branagh's replacement, and that hes left a mark that will carry forward on the franchise. And with the Don Payne-written script underway, Thor 2 is supposedly scheduled for filming May next year, near the release of Chris Hemsworth's 'Thor' reprisal in The Avengers. And the sequel is slated for theaters July 26, 2013!

And so it begins...Marvel Studio and Disney are moving forward with THOR 2, as the film is expected to begin production in early 2012. And as we all know, director Kenneth Branagh won't be returning for the sequel, so now we have the news that Brian Kirk is in talks to helm the film.
From Variety:
"Brian Kirk is in early negotiations to helm "Thor 2" for Marvel Studios and Disney, which will bring Chris Hemsworth's hammer-wielding superhero back to the bigscreen for his next adventure after "The Avengers."

More Asgardians To Appear In THOR Sequel; Will It Be More Asgard-Grounded?
More Asgardians To Appear In THOR Sequel; Will It Be More Asgard-Grounded?
Based completely on an overlooked statement, & slightly speculation, it seems unlike Marvel'soriginal THOR film, the sequel could be more grounded in Asgard. Check it out!

Heels off the news of MarvelStudiospursuing Game Of Thrones director Brian Kirk to helm their THOR sequel, from Variety and Movie Web's report, what's offhandedly mentioned may hint at a majorly new direction from the Kenneth Branagh-directed film.
![]()
<LI itxtNodeId="108" itxtHarvested="0">The "Thor" sequel is expected to feature a large cast of Aasgardians and creatures in the Norse mythology-set world.
<LI itxtNodeId="107" itxtHarvested="0">Thor 2 is expected to double its cast of larger than life Aasgardians and mythical Norse creatures, making it one of the largest scale Marvel adventures to date, second only to The Avengers
Though I could be looking too much into it, this may hint at the possibility of the sequel being more, if not completely, grounded in the magical Norse realm of Asgard. Or not even just Asgard, but also the other six realms, of nine from the Norse cosmology, that weren't explored in the original film; especially if there'll be more creatures.
Of course, if so, it could mean the characters Thor interacted with in the original film, while earthbound, wouldn't return; notably NataliePortman'sJane Foster. However, at some point in the comics, Thor did take Jane to Asgard with him, where she was briefly granted immortality and the power of gods; which could evidently be a twist for the film.
While staying noted that this is just a theory, and somewhat speculation, what would you think of Thor going on an all-out Asgardian adventure, rather than Earthly; like his outing in next summer's The Avengers?

Josh Dallas (Fandral) Talks THOR 2 And Patty Jenkins As Director!
Josh Dallas (Fandral) Talks THOR 2 And Patty Jenkins As Director!
Talking to IGN Movies, THOR star Josh Dallas confirms that he'll be back as Fandral in the sequel and shares his thoughts on Patty Jenkins coming aboard to direct and much more...
While we already knew that Fandral and the rest of the Warriors Three would be back for THOR 2, Josh Dallas has commented on returning to Asgard as well as his excitement to work with director Patty Jenkins in a recent interview with IGN Movies. Here are a few excerpts from the Q&A, but you can read it in full by clicking on the link below.
On Whether Or Not He'll Be Back As Fandral For THOR 2:</U itxtNodeId="109" itxtHarvested="0">
We are! We are planning a return to Asgard, next year. Thor 2 is happening. A great director called Patty Jenkins is directing the sequel. Ken [Branagh] is not directing, which is obviously a huge shame, because he came in and created that world and created the language and the look of the whole thing. But he's kind of set it all up for us and I think he's staying on as a producer. But yeah, there's going to be some more adventures in the Nine Realms.
On Whether Or Not He's Spoken To Patty About The Movie Yet:
I haven't yet, no. But apparently Marvel are in love with her and I'm sure she is going to be a really exciting and interesting choice. She's done some great work before. Marvel always have a really good idea for those directors that are going to come in and they may seem out of left field, but they always have a plan and they're always really smart. And that's what's so great about working for Marvel, because not only are they movie producers and they make these great movies, but they're comic book guys and they love it and they love the characters and they love the stories.
On His Excitement For THOR 2 And Living Up To Fan Expectations:
They've read these comic books since they were children, so they're very attached. They're very attached to these characters and they're very protective of them. So as an actor coming in, you feel that and you know that. And that's what's also exciting about being a part of projects like that, that people are so excited about seeing it before it even comes out, before it's even done. That's really unique and special as an actor, to be part of projects like that. You're like, "I'm playing these characters… I hope I get it right! I hope someone doesn't go, 'You destroyed my childhood!' or whatever." But the great thing about Marvel is that because they're comic book guys and they love it as much as everybody else does, you feel totally supported coming into that, so it's exciting.
Just saw this movie yesterday...
I had really low expectations...
It was actually quite enjoyable...
It was insane how large chris hemsworth got for this role within 3 months!! I came to the ironmagazine forums because I thought for sure there would be a discussion about his workout routine. To my surprise, nothing. Google has been the only decent source for the chris hemsworth workout. He was trained by Michael Night (not knight rider). He had 3 months and was actually too big for the role so spent 3 weeks downsizing to fit into the outfit. He was actually bigger before the movie came out. Insane transformation.
Most of his diet we already know. Compound workouts, eat, sleep. One source said he ate chicken, steak, and rice. Another source said he ate quinoa in place of rice. Still not sure which is accurate.
"The use of machines was totally out. Chris Hemsworth’s Workout was full of compound exercises and limited in isolation exercises. "

Patty Jenkins Not Worthy of Mjölnir ... Out as Director of THOR 2
Patty Jenkins Not Worthy of Mjölnir ... Out as Director of THOR 2
Another swing and a miss for MarvelStudios as Patty Jenkins (Monster) is the second director to walk away from the project. Click the jump for details.
Patty Jenkins banished from Asgard! According to Deadline Director Patty Jenkins (AMC's The Killing) is departing from Thor 2 because of "creative differences." Patty was the second choice to Game of Thrones director Brian Kirk. Marvel is said to be moving very quickly on Patty's replacement in order to keep the release date, July 26, 2013.
Deadline added that this may not be the last of Patty Jenkins in the superhero genre. I'm not sure if they are speculating or if their source gave them a scoop, but they said, "The feeling is that she’ll probably end up working on one of these superhero films, but perhaps not on a sequel."

Marvel Taps Alan Taylor To Helm THOR 2
When news broke that Patty Jenkins was off Thor 2, the obvious big question was who is going to take over for her. Marvel had narrowed their search down to two directors in Daniel Minahan and Alan Taylor. Now today, according to Deadline, Marvel have settled on Alan Taylor to helm Thor's next solo motion picture journey. Taylor's credits include Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and Nurse Jackie.
<B>From Deadline:

Marvel Studios has found its Thor 2 director. I’m told that Marvel has set Alan Taylor, who was widely rumored to be on the short list to replace Patty Jenkins. Jenkins got the job but then fell out over differences with Marvel on the sequel.</B>
Taylor joins returning scribe Don Payne, who will again return to write Thor's tale, along with stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston. Thor 2 will be released on November 15, 2013.

Top notch gear. Top notch diet(prepared by top notch chefs). Top notch training facilities.
Celeb transformations like this dont impress me. They basically have everything handed to them. Lift weights, inject gear you had your assistant go get, eat five star meals.
