I saw it. It was very well done. I recommend seeing it in the theaters.

They could have screwed up the movie in any number of way, but they pulled it off just right.

They did a mighty fine job of it. Took my sons to see it earlier today, 14 and 5 years old. Both liked it.

is it worth it to see it in 3D? for reference Avatar and Tron in 3D = good. Clash of the Titans in 3D = wasted money

No, it's not. Dark scenes (which they have several scenes in this movie) plus the darkening effect of 3D glasses makes for poor viewing.

Saw it yesterday with wife and mom-in-law. Pretty good flick. I also had a large popcorn. I don't put any extra butter on it though. I know movie popcorn is still awful for you even without the extra butter, but I'm still getting the large popcorn when I go to the movies. OM NOM NOM NOM

    Chris Hemsworth Talks The Avengers

The LATimes got the chance to sit down with Chris Hemsworth and discuss his thoughts on 'The Avengers' and what aspect of the movie he's most looking forward too, as well as what the chances are of seeing Cap and Thor face off...

Geoff Boucher over at The LATimes recently sat down with Thor star Chris Hemsworth and they discussed if we'll see Cap and Thor clash in The Avengers, how he feels about working again with director Joss Whedon, and what aspect of The Avengers is he most excited for.

On If We'll See Thor's Hammer Hit Captain America's Shield:
“I’m sure that’s up there on the list of possibilities, that would be something to see at some point,” the star of “Thor” said cryptically when asked if his character might tussle with Captain America in the classic Marvel tradition of superhero sparring. “I’ve thought about that too.”

What He Thinks About Thor And Captain America: TFA Facing Off In The Box Office:
“I have brothers so I know about competing with someone at the same time you’re cheering for them,”

    What He's Most Excited For
“Jeremy, Chris Evans, Scarlett, Mark Ruffalo, all of them, wow, it’s going to be fun,” said Hemsworth, who before “Thor” was best known to American audiences for a fleeting appearance in the J.J. Abrams “Star Trek” film. “I really feel like a fan in all of this because I’ve seen all these individual characters come to life. Now to throw them together, you feel like a kid in a way, there’s really a giddy feeling. I’m looking forward to being in a room with not just those actors but those characters, these larger-than-life characters, and seeing how that turns out. I want to see how Captain America and Thor and Iron Man react to one another.”

How He Feels About Working With Joss Whedon On The Avengers:
I’ve worked with Joss on ‘Cabin in the Woods’ — he wrote it with Drew Goddard and Drew directed but Joss was on set and very collaborative with ideas, so I got a sense of his personality and who he was. So I feel less cautious now, knowing him and really liking him. I’m really excited to work with Joss and to see where he takes Thor and all of the Marvel characters.”

    I saw it.
    Didn't like it at all.
    Action seemed very cheesy.
Just made him look to be invincible....no one was a challenge at all.
Look at every battle from the ice giants to the monster they released to the "Destroyer"
Even when his powers where taken and he became mortal he took out an entire base of heavily armed special forces.....
These would be the same guys that fucked up the Hulk..
You break into a restricted area and start taking people out i can defiantly see you ending up with a few bullets flying your way.

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

    Instant fail.

Wrong color. Wrong demeanor. Wrong acting skillset. Nick Fury even had some muscle on him. A blatent and pathetic attempt to fill some kinda fucked up PC color quota imo. Plus, Jackson is about as one-dimentional for actors as they come. He is the same dude in every movie he has ever been in.

One thing I haven't seen too much is such a drastic mix of cg and normal movie filming i.e. a small NM town. So that interaction was humorus and not too cheesy; although some of the cg acting was. Overall it wasn't too bad.

Just saw it, I was definitely entertained for 1.5hrs.

Captain American looks pretty freaking sick and Immortals doesn't look bad either...

You forgot the classic "Stop! Or my Mom will Shoot."
