there are loopholes in just about every system in this country and there will always be ones that exploit them. look at the big corporations in this country bitching about the corporate tax rate but when you crunch the numbers their tax rate and what they "actually pay" are not even close.

total corp profits last year in 2010 was 1.7T the fed collected 190B in taxes and gave out 100B in tax giveaways and subsidy's according to the Cato Institute. so that's 90B out of 1.7T which is 5%.

to qualify for food stamps, TANF, etc. you have to provide them will all of your financial information, bank accounts numbers, etc. you also have to factor in that some sell their food stamps because they do not use the total amount monthly.

either way why would you be jealous of someone on food stamps just because they drive a BMW or any other car. you do not retire from poverty. every see poor people flying anywhere on vacation?

Believe it or not the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 passed by Clinton changed a lot of things, unfortunately too many just look at the "ones" that abuse the system, shit that happens in the work place everywhere as well...

A lot of Mexican kids in the US military, we could trade amnesty for military service...

Hell yes our military deserves much better treatment, especially after they get back and are discharged into the civilian world...

mexican's don't stand a chance of gaining citizenship that way...

you have to have a green card to enlist, you can not be "illegal"...

fillipino nationals can enlist and even retire a veteran yet are still denied citizenship after thanks to the proper legislation never getting passed or even making it out of committee. and they have been fighting right next to Americans since WWII....sorry but thanks for letting us keep our bases on your homeland and fighting for democracy but no you can't come here to live...that shit if fucked up

In other news, what are the odds of the U.S. annexing Mexico?

Pretty sure I asked that question before.

That IS fucked up - this day and age there needs to be reform in how we handle the situation regarding immigration. Serve in the military and gain citizenship. They fuckup while in, they get a one way ticket. You do the military good, get in. Having the requirement to have a greencard to get in the military can be changed in order to bolster the military.

If we actually had balls on borders and put the military to protect it, I do have reservations having them protecting the border though. It would be like letting the kids be in charge of the cookie jar. Shutting the borders effectively while dealing with the existing population is what this would attempt to resolve.

If you read those documents that I posted above. they explain everything that is occurring in this country. in the late 70's-1980 there was a meeting between OECD countries on how to basically make their countries more efficient and putting the labor in each country to better use. countries that lagged behind others during the Industrial revolution in certain parts of the world experienced great increases in their populations but there was not enough resources or jobs to support these rapid population increases that resulted from increases in agriculture. the more industrialized countries like the US have relocated/shipped manufacturing to poorer countries to help them reduce their levels of poverty. It basically has to do with the amount of people and the amount of land that can support the population. The US has tons of land compared to our population. Countries like China & India have high populations and a shortage of land to support the residents there. This is why manufacturing from the US has been shipped over seas to help reduce the poverty in those countries, yes at the expense of the well being of US citizens.

the OECD and the ILO basically have business models set, rules and guidelines for MNE's to follow and on how there are to work with the governments of their host countries. it has to do the the relocation of businesses to better serve the trade agreements with countries in close proximity to each other.

Mexico imports the majority of it's goods to the US, that is why the vast majority of manufacturing in located north close to the US/Mexico border. The US exports the majority of it's goods and services to Canada which is why the majority of our business and manufacturing is located in the north closer to the US/Canada border.

Read the documents that I posted last night.

That's what legislation is for, pass a bill allowing a special enlistment opportunity for Mexican's who wish to become American citizens male or female to join the Army, the Navy is all ready full of Filipino's(usually cooks) I had a second LPO who was Filipino he was very good, also had a Guamanian Second Class PO in our Radio shack, both of them were as loyal to service as any of us natural born citizens....in fact I'd say they were even more grateful for the chance...

and as I stated the legislation has never made it out of committee...

    S. 120: Filipino Veterans Equity Act of 1993
    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s103-120

the Immigration Act of 1990 was passed granting US citizenship ONLY to Filipino World War II veterans. This does not include vets from Vietnam, Korea, or either Gulf Wars...

Guam is a US terrority, the people there are protected under the US Constitution our US President is theirs also...

I was in the Navy, the fillipino's were mostly MS's because fed law prevents non-us citizen's that are allowed to serve in the US from armed forces from obtaining security clearances.

All of those filipino's that you served with in the Navy are all back in the Philippines right now unless they have applied for citizenship through the regular immigration processes.
