I see nothing wrong with it, if the government has no issues why should he? After his winnings they just got almost $1 million in taxes from him, more than most people will pay in a lifetime.

That's how I view it, they can always change the rules if they want.

I'd be cashing in those stamps too if they took half of my winnings.

regardless of what side you are on it just goes to show that many in this country from the individual on up to the billion dollar multi-national corps ONLY do what is required of them by law.

morality has gone out the window in the US. what happened to just doing the right thing?

My guess is that its boring, and people desperately want to spice up their life.
Morality has already been an overrated joke when you think about it.

So, where is the young, nubile tart hanging on his hog waiting for him to keel over? 865k isn't all that much overall, but I am sure he could get some tail with it. He could wine and dine her with what the foodstamps can buy. win win.

Why is it still called foodstamps? It is a credit card now - so the 95% of douches don't have to feel like shit in line and act like their using a card. They should be made to wear this:

    Whenever using:

I know you don't honestly believe that....do you know how weak minded a person would have to be to let themselves be influenced by a freaking song.

problems are never just caused by one single thing, it's always multiple factors. violence on TV and a nation always at war somewhere in the world. our society promotes if not encourages violence.

I pretty much stopped listening to the hardcore stuff right after NWA and all them came out. I just can not relate growing up in the burbs.

Yeah I know, and I've seen it way too often in this generation, especially with the emergence of American Idol.

you can not single out just rap then, there are some pretty bad lyrics in a lot of heavy metal songs. to me it seems like the problems in the child were are already and they search out music that appeals to their behavior.

The relationship between heavy metal and rap music on adolescent turmoil: real or artifact?

the million he paid in taxes is probably feeding him and 1000 other families. plus every dime of what he has left will be taxed too when he spends it. if he worked all his life he is getting a fraction back of what he has paid in.

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!

So a retired American citizen that wins $2 million (a million clear) should no longer be eligible for the benefits he is rightfully due? Why should his winnings change anything?

You keep on believing your pipe dream. There are millions of other ways the government can waste his 'contribution' on. The only way that much money would feed a 1000 families is if it went into a legit charity - the gubment might make it to 100, but that may be stretching it with it's superior efficiency.
