Quick question about USPS shipping returns..

    Hey guys,

I just ordered an item on ebay and I want to return the item back to the seller. When I opened the package I was very careful, so I can pretty much put the item back in and reseal the package.

If the packaging is not so damaged, can I just return this package to the seller by "refusing" the package so I wouldn't have to pay for the return shipping?

I know that if the receiver refuses the package, the package goes back to the seller, but I don't if it would work in this case. Any ideas?

You already accepted the package, so how can you refuse it?

I was at the PO the other day when a woman asked the same question and the postal chick said you opened, you own as far as refusing it goes. In other words you pay the postage back.

Write Return to Sender, put it back in your box and see if the mail-carrier takes it back.....

If it was scanned in, in any way, they will probably know. That's the crappy thing about packages and USPS, you don't have to sign for shit, but it could still be scanned. Thus, leaving you SOL with a POS package...
