AIDS is a cocksucker's disease for sure. To say that gay men have nothing to do with spreading it is nothing but useless PC dribble. It's just feel good speech. If I lived a hedonistic lifestyle, hung out in bars and adult bookstores everyday, and took it up the arse from 10-30 new partners every month, then my chances of contracting HIV would be fairly high also. It's not PC to talk about it, but the fact is, that's the lifestyle that typical young fags live. They fuck each other like there was no tomorrow.

The reason you don't see as much of it in the lesbian population is because they don't live the same lifestyle. They are far more monogamous than their faggot counterparts

The Pope is resposible for the spread of AIDs on a much larger scale than homosexuals and that doesn't include the children he's molestered in the past.

Let me be clear about something I failed to convey in my post. The "son" was not a child. He had moved to another city when this took place. If memory serves me right I think he was early thirties when he died. Sorry for the confusion.

30 yrs have passed since the first diagnoses of the new plague. I guess you could say this is a very unhappy anniversary. Sadly, in my lifetime, there will not be a cure. This disease is following the same path as cancer...treat, but never cure.

One of my best friends growing up now has AIDS. According to peeps from the hood, His GF was born with it and never told him. what a fucking nightmare. Very true, life expectancy has been greatly improved for HIV, but has there been any advances made for full blown AIDS?

My dental hygienist told me that if someone comes in her office and has mouth cancer there is a high percentage that that person has AIDS ? anyone know if that's true or not?

Almost all the oral cancer in my practice here in the nascar loving, smokeless tobacco south, it is mostly from dipping...HPV16 has also been implicated , the very same HPV that causes cervical cancer and warts. Thus, in younger people who engage in oral sex this is more of a culprit and since HIV persons have difficulty suppressing HPV ( many of them get horrible genital warts) the dental hygenist is not completely out of sync. Perhaps the Gardisil vaccine now given to both boys and girls, we may see a decline in HPV oral cancers and not just cervical cancers and genital warts.

Whats interesting is that there is greater heterosexual transmission from women to men in africa because there most men are uncircumsized. Now that medicaid will no longer pay for it because it is considered cosmetic ( lead by a lobbying group composed mainly of men) we will see more heterosexual transmission in this country. Many middle class are also forgoing circumcision, you can make the argument it is genital mutilation and I understand both sides of the argument. That is why the WHO still recommends routine circumsion because it stems the tide of HIV transmission greatly in the heterosexual population.

i dont know off hand but i suspect it is because the foreskin is thin-skinned, ( and highly vascular from my memories during urology rotation) making it vulnerable to the microabrasions that could occur during intercourse

drug & alcohol use and abuse increases with poverty, the substance abuse treatment rate is around 20% . drug and alcohol abusers are also more promiscuous, not a good combination. then factor in the numbers of single mothers, single mothers that are head of households, etc. that are african or hispanic american and the high rate of aids in blacks and hispanics is easily explained...

The Asia-Pacific region is home to an estimated five million HIV-infected people, the second highest number in the world, after Sub-Saharan Africa.
