you Need a class III FFL (Federal Firearm License) to legally own a fully automatic weapon.

The media really blows the Gun show thing out. A person can sell a weapon to another person. But a dealer (FFL) has to do paperwork and a backgoind check on every single gun single shot, semi atuomatic, long guns ets. Full auto are a total differnt thing Much more paperwork envolved and 3-4 months approval from the government.

I used to be a FFL dealer. FFL's have to record of every firearm transaction period.

Most of the Gun show stuff is unlicensed people (individuals) selling to individuals. No paperwork required.

There are no fully automatic rifles sold to individuals at gun shows. It is a massive pain in the ass and extremely expensive to obtain class III FFL. No dealer with a license would jeopardize that by illegally selling automatic rifles at a gun show.

All I can say is let them try to buy fully automatic weapons at a gun show. They'll be awful disappointed.

Seems like this topic is pretty well covered. no one is getting fully automatic rifles easily. Gun shows are pretty well known here in the states. Al-Qaeda suddenly discovering this and exploiting it is kind of funny. Then again they have never really been the brightest of individuals.

I think it's disheartening the dumbest of their members is actually a US born member. Or maybe it makes sense. Our complete lowest denominator over here goes and becomes one of them.

It's awful how easily led people are on this issue. The media continually puts out anti-gun propaganda disguised as news. Just a quick google search will reveal the actual laws and statistics surrounding gun shows.

the people who want to make stricter gun laws will love this though even if it is total bullshit. my spidey sense was tingling about that as i read it and i thought hmmmm if MORE Americans actually carried guns these asshole shooters wouldn't get far before being full of lead.
