He just PM'd me and said he was leaving the office, casue it was getting nasty. Not sure if he was talking bout the weather or not. But, It's snowing here in Oklahoma right now. And about 27 deg. F.

Hmmm,,,, They're calling for 3-5" by morning. I know that doesn't sound like much to all the Canucks around here, but it's a HUGE deal down here where no one knows how to drive on dry pavement let alone snow covered.

I'm a transplanted Yankee, so I know how to deal with this shit. It's the other 99% who don't that scare me.

It didn't start snowing here until 11:30, but my kids school was closed for the day. Go figure.

Hey IPMC, I didn't know you were from Oklahoma, my sister lives down there to, do you know her?

When she got out of nursing school back around 1988, there was a shortage of nurses down in the US, so she went on a program where she would go and nurse for 6 months at a time and then move on to a new place. She got married in 1992 and has been in OK ever since.
I think she moved about 5 or 6 times, she said New Orleans was probably the funnest place.

I hope you guys don't get the freezing rain storm we got a few years back...

It snowed heavy for a short time today then it sleeted all afternoon. Now we have freezing rain. They are calling for at least an inch of ice on everything. 1/2" is enough to break limbs and power lines. Coming home on the interstate someone spun out right beside me! It normally takes me an hour to get home. Today it took 2 hrs and 40 min!

One wreck had I-77 shut down. The police estimated the person was running in excess of 60 mph!
