I know when I do the '......' thingy it is for spacing effect. It gives the reader more of a pause and draws it out more. But I usually have something to write after that, I don't finish off a sentence with those.
Not sure if that's how every one feels. |

it can be used as a pause, as irontime said, or it's used to indicate that there was either more before or after a quote.
e.g. IronMagazine is a great site, I come here everyday. "...I come here everyday." so, if I was just wanting to quote that you said you come here everyday the ... indicates that there was more to the sentence and I did not include it in the quote. or "IronMagazine is a great site..." you get the picture. ![]() |
