The lack of empathy can be appalling, but not near as much as the sense of entitlement of the majority of americans.

Americans are entitled to having a good paying job but thanks to globalization those days are long gone.

why is the power of capital entitled to do whatever it pleases in the US?

why can the FRB use inflation to keep those on the bottom end of the income ladder in constant debt?

why haven't real wages increased in decades for the lower income quintiles?

I remember my friends mom worked 2 jobs and was gong to nursing school after the father died, she had welfare for her 2 kids both honor roll students. One of her rewards for them getting good grades or doing chores was a soda and little Debbie snack cakes, I remember cause my dad used to restrict our soda and junk food the same way. So because my friends mom didn't make a lot of money he should've had to have been punished because there are people who abuse a government program? Ha let's punish some of these high powered corporations and executives who abuse a lot more...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
