    Bodybuilding or any activity should bring joy to a person and not be some type of punishment.

    i really think any of us who go to gym constantly and run gear obviously isnt ever satisfied with ourselves or we would just stop going, so i would say most people on here suffer from this

    Agreed on that, but some find disappointment in that dissatisfaction while others find a sense of motivation, pride, and joy in striving to reach that goal -- even if it is always just beyond our reach.

    Does that make sense, that there can be two forms of dissatisfaction? There's a positive (striving to achieve) as well as negative (disappointed and never feeling "good enough") dissatisfaction?

    Mike & Curt, both good points. I think that maybe the degree of dissatisfaction is a key point.
