Jason Patric to Star in FX's Powers

The FX network's pilot adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's Powers comic series has just found its leading man in the form of actor Jason Patric, according to Deadline.
A unique take on the police procedural, Powers postulates a world in which a pair of homicide detectives (Patric's Christian Walker and Lucy Punch's Deena Pilgrim) who specialize in cases involving people with super powers.

The script is written by Charles H. Eglee, with Michael Dinner prepared to start shooting in Chicago later this summer. Patric, whose most recent credit is the adaptation of DC's The Losers and who to date has only shot feature films, will be making his television debut with Powers.

Carly Foulkes Cast As Retro Girl In Powers TV Adaptation!

Best known for appearing in a series of 2010 and 2011 T-Mobile myTouch 4G television commercials, the young actress has been cast as Retro Girl in the TV adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' and Michael Avon Oeming's Powers...
After the reveal earlier this week that Jason Patric and Lucy Punch will play the two lead characters in Powers, yet another actress has joined the cast. Here's what writer Brian Michael Bendis reportedly told the Sirius Radio Show Geektime in a recent interview.

"A couple of weeks ago, we cast a woman named Carly Foulkes to be Retro Girl. You're sitting there going, 'Who's that?' That is the super, super cute T-Mobile girl."

Retro Girl plays a major part in the first volume of the comic book series (actually entitled, "Who Killed Retro Girl?") indicating that the TV show will be a pretty faithful adaptation. While the role is more than likely a minor one, what do you think about Foulkes joining the cast?

Titus Welliver Joins Powers As Triphammer

Titus Welliver Joins Powers As Triphammer

Lost's "Man In Black" has joined the cast of FX's adaptation of the popular Brian Michael Bendis comic..
Welliver might be best known to CBMers as The Man On Black, or "Smokey" from Lost but he is a veteran of quite a few great shows such as Sons Of Anarchy and Deadwood He will appear next in the FX tv series based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's comicbook series..

    From AOLTV.com..

Welliver has been cast as Triphammer in 'Powers,' and if the pilot gets picked up to series, his role will be recurring.

Triphammer is described by the network as both "a genius and a narcissist," a combination of Steve Jobs and Donald Trump. He's not just a powerful force in his own right, he has invented technology that can both bestow and remove superhuman abilities.

Triphammer seems to be an IronMan type character from what I can gather. I am a Powers noob! Anyway the show also stars Jason Patric and Lucy Punch as detectives who investigate crimes involving people with superhuman abilities. The pilot was written by Charles H. Eglee(The Shield) and it's being directed by Justified executive producer Michael Dinner.
