    Husband 'killed' with dog collar

    Husband 'killed' with dog collar
    December 08, 2002

A JAPANESE woman was arrested for restraining her husband with a dog collar and allegedly leaving him to die, police in western Japan said.

Tokuko Wakamatsu, 52, used the collar to restrain her husband and bind him to a fixture in an alley outside their home in the western Japanese city of Osaka, a police spokesman said on condition of anonymity.

The unidentified victim later died and police were investigating if his wife's actions were responsible, he said.

The woman had allegedly been frustrated by her housebound husband, who was recovering from a stroke he suffered last year, according to the official.
"I believe in the brotherhood of man, all men, but I don’t believe in brotherhood with anybody who doesn’t want brotherhood with me. I believe in treating people right, but I’m not going to waste my time trying to treat somebody right who doesn’t know how to return the treatment."
