3-5 times a night? That is excessive. How much water are you drinking throughout the day?

Have you been assessed for type II diabetes?

    From the Mayo Clinic site:

Type 2 diabetes symptoms may develop very slowly. In fact, you can have type 2 diabetes for years and not even know it. Look for:

Increased thirst and frequent urination. As excess sugar builds up in your bloodstream, fluid is pulled from the tissues. This may leave you thirsty. As a result, you may drink — and urinate — more than usual.

Well I asked about your water intake because obviously that could play a huge factor...1.5-2.0 gallons a day, plus coffee? Jesus Christ! Why so much? Are you engaging in a lot of activity during the day in which you sweat a lot? Drinking all that water must take work.

Unless you are working construction in Tucson, AZ in the middle of summer or spending 6 to 8 hours in the gym working out like a mad man, 2 gallons too much. I know you are not doing either because you pee so much. Cut it back to a gallon and see what happens.

With that said, the way things are going with diabetes these days, get you A1C levels checked. Does diabetes run in your family?

Why is it that you sweat constantly? How bad of sweating are we talking here?

Sounds pretty normal. I suggest cutting down to no more than a gallon a day and see what happens.

And cut out the coffee. Caffeine is a diuretic and forces the water OUT of your body. If you stop the coffee you'll allow your body to absorb more of the water so you'll have less excess to pee out at night.

I hardly ever wake up to pee at night too. I can't imagine waking up that often.

I end up becoming more thirsty nearing the end of the day, and I can understand the annoyance that is night urination. Most times I can sleep through it, and it sorta urges me to keep an early morning schedule.

But, how much sleep quality do you lose? If your brain is focused on a bloated bladder, can you still achieve the REM level?

I have this problem also. I have to get up to piss 5-6 time often. It seems like if I could get into a deep REM sleep, I could save it up for one big unloading in the morning. I probably got up 6 times to piss last night and I was fatigued all day today.

OK all you gear users that get up numerous times to piss in the middle of the night: Go get your prostrate checked. The gear could have swollen your prostrate and you aren't completely voiding.

Also, you could have sleep apnea, or congestive heart failure, or diabetes. Either way, if the pissing continues, go see a doctor.
