this is why engineers run other countries they make decisions for the good of the "whole country" based on science and empirical data while the US is run by politicians that make decisions based on ideology and whatever bs they can sell to the sheep to get them elected. this is why nothing in the US ever gets better.

I voted for Bush in 2000. I didn't in 2004. I left the president selection on my ballot blank. He betrayed everything I voted for.

He was against nation building, against foreign entanglements. He campaigned against high taxes and deficit spending. All that shit went out the window during his first term.

In 2008, I did the same.

This time around, I'm going to vote against Obama, just to spite you and Zaphod. And because, in reality, leaving my ballot blank is the same as voting for Obama, and I despise everything he stands for.
