Thread: Father And Son Assault Leads To Death

I read about that last week but the video shows a different story than was first reported, it made the attendants sound like the aggressors.

all that for a freaking bottle of cologne, this is what happens when people covet meaningless material possessions. dead at 17 for nothing but a bottle of mostly alcohol with a little extract of some fragrance.

Well, it's kind of hard to blame the bottle of cologne for what happened. It's the father's fault that the son is dead now. He set one helluva example for him to follow. He should be locked up till they burry his sorry ass, sooner the better.

That kid was destined to either go to prison or end up dead. The father should be charged with murder.

Close to where I live there were 2 juvenile's and one adult that tried to rob a home. The home owner shot one juvenile in the head and killed him. The adult in the crime got charged with the juvenile's murder even though he didn't kill him. In this case the father should be charged with at least man slaughter because it is his fault his son is dead.

This is just more proof that the prison system just makes criminals worse.

What would this case be without video proof, I can't believe relatives from the kid who died still claim the father had no fault and both he and the son were acting in self defense.

a good portion of the people caught up in the system have above average IQ's.

many drop out of school due to lack of interest, etc. the US school system is a joke, even honors and AP classes aren't a challenge for many. with out being taught about the academic delay of gratification many get into trouble for small crimes after dropping out and then get caught up in the whole prison system.

there are direct correlations between the ridiculously high percentage of prisons/inmates population in the US with education and low wages. when you look at the data from other OECD countries to the US it's blindingly obvious. so many problems in the US are caused by low wages it's ridiculous.

I seriously doubt the dad's wage caused this situation to blow up like it did. The dad was obviously a disturbed and violent individual, and unfortunately, the only role model the kid ever knew. You could tell in the video that the son seemed to be blindly following his father's lead.

I think this is spot on. The inability to delay gratification, as well as think more than 5 minutes into the future, seems to be a common thread with most of the people who get caught up in the prison system. We are a fairly gluttonous society and so many seem to expect instant gratification for everything they want.

IMO the prison system turns a minor offender into a violent criminal. They do zero for rehabilitation. It's all about money.

Throw a poor black kid in jail when he is 18 for some minor offense and when he gets out in a year or two he is a hardened criminal.

There is so much data out there about how FUCKED UP prisons , judges and law enforcement are it's not even worth the effort to argue over.

It was a pathetic mistake on the father's part but when you put a person in an environment where they are treated like an animal that is exactly how they are going to act in any environment or situation.

I get tired of hearing people deny their crimes, the parking attendants were only defending themselves.

Why are you so racist? Being a white shemale, you haven't had to deal with a life time of discrimination as the boy and his father did. The parking attendants represented a society that had suppressed and subordinated these men their entire lives. The bottle of cologne represented the one valuable possession they had acquired on their own and it too was now being taken by their white oppressors, therefore they lashed out. Society is to blame here.

A greater proportion of minority populations tend to live in poverty and higher levels of poverty = higher crime rate. Then again, you do see a lot more crime in housing projects, than trailer parks. I don't know how many times I've driven past housing projects downtown and heard gun shots. 60% of all murder in AL is black on black.
