The vid is also on the page with the story. Personally as a father with a son, I am siding with the Dad. He may have gone a little overboard with the language, but I respect that he was trying to teach his son how to be a man in the best way that he knew how. It may or may not be the "best way", but it was effective anyway. Opinions?

Fathers have been teaching their sons how to hunt/kill/and fight since the dawn of time, but suddenly in just the last 10 years or so it is looked at as some sort of deviant behavior.

the judge is a moron. some kid bullied my brother for a while n then they duked it out in our back yard. after a while they thought fuck this shit everyone's cheering us while we get beat. they walked away friends and still are. the boys in the vid shook hand after the fight. what a fucking retarded judge. the dad was being human, maybe not his shining moment but hey that's his kid.

I prefer my dad teaching me how to defend myself with foul language then talking all this pussified homo nonsense which most kids hear and imitate now a days. Anything goes is primary example.

it's very common for lasting male friendships to have started out with the boys being enemies. the judge overreacted. i don't think the dad did anything wrong. somewhere on here is a post from me about a girl that tried to fight with me for a long time. finally she ripped my shirt off and i beat the piss out of her and yes i slammed her head on the ground. the cops were told she started it n that was the end of it. only fight i was ever in but she asked for it so did the guy in the vid, he came to the dads house to beat his son, she came to my town looking for the girl that stole her boyfriend a year ago. as far as i know girls don't become friends after.

Reminds me of when I was 8 and got in a fight with 2 mexican kids when I lived in the ghetto, my dad was sitting on the apartment stairs with 2 of his friends drinking beer and yelling at me to get one kid in a choke hold and kick the other kid behind the knee and shit. I won after one ran off crying after I punched him in the nose and the other gave up soon after. I was so thirsty afterwards I chugged down several gulps of beer.....ha ha////

What he said was shitty, but I have told people before/during a fight that I was going to kill them, break their neck, etc etc etc, its just part of the battlecry. I didn't do any of the above, so I shouldn't be in prison. The man was cheering on his son during a fight. We all do it for our favorite sports teams, fighters, boxers whatever, and that's without the added emotion of watching your son finally standing up to some kids that have been fucking with him for 6 months and who showed up at his house to fight.
