I have never trained with anyone who would say or do anything negative towards another. That's BS and you did the right thing. Just remember to go back and rub it in his face when you surpass him
Hey all, i just need to Rant about something as its bothing me like hell!
ok so i trained with this dude, he lost alot of weight and thats good and all
i didnt mind.. but, he acts like he knows fucking everything i asked for advice for bulking and he said "Work it out yourself". Then Two days ago, he says.. "You can spot me" as in its a honor to spot him?... and every time i do something he gives me shit for it, it does give me motivation to push myself
But hes always so negative towards how im doing, so i just stopped training with him i rather train by myself and be positive then a negative fuck!. Today the gym owner just told me "your posture is way better, your looking bigger aswell" and that was a good push as i was training for 6 months and not moving Anyway, just a rant, Anyone had something like this happend or anything?

I have had only one good training partner in ten years. He was on gear and i wasnt so that didn't last long. Your better off training by yourself than dealing with that bullshit.
Didja try being honest with him?
If what you did for him brought such great results, I see two things: he's gone from one end of the spectrum to the other, and as such his attitude has too.....hopefully he will end up back in the middle, as an equal.....however his perspective is out of whack. Try and realize it is because of the magnitude of what you gave to him - it meant the world to him, obviously....
Everyone has different communication styles....not saying that negativity or meanness is okay.....one of my best friends, when people hear us talk to each other, are either entertained, amused, or horrified....but it is truly supportive and a sign of affection. If it ever strikes a nerve, I speak up.....I may get a smart aleck reply, but from that point on, its off topic.
It obviously bothers you enough to tell us.......if you've talked to him and he blew you off, that sucks - move on.....
Find a new training partner, there's no point in sticking with someone arrogant. My training partner is an awesome guy and a good partner really helps motivate you to push yourself beyond your limits when you're training.

most likely the guy went from being sedentary to exercising regularly and made some changes in his diet. the fact that he wouldn't share any info with you is because he doesn't have any.
people that know the science behind the many facets of the sport love to give info when asked.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

What a prize that guy is! Yeah, he probably didn't have the answer you were looking for being he was training for the opposite results. He probably never wants to hear the word bulk again. I bet he is a real doosey outside of the gym, too.
Besides, you're in the right place to ask your q's. Keep up the hard work and in time you'll be able to answer those questions for other people.
