Newsflash, its a worldwide epidemic. Statistics are something like one in four women are sexually assaulted before they are 19; one in eight (may be lower now) men have been seuxally assaulted.

The punishments for these crimes is not severe enough to deter the assholes from doing it. Guaranteed if they cut some guys nuts in public it would cut things down a bit

There can be a very thin line drawn between what is socially right and what isn't. Men can't control their sexual urges and curiosity. Many guys hit on chicks that look old enough, yet are underage. And if any guys are offended, tough.. plain and simple its men that do this, a woman offender is a very rare exception.

Its the repeat offenders that spread the fire. Their children, their children's friends, their nieces/nephews, grandchildren, on and on down the line. One guy can victimize several over the course of his lifetime, I am afraid to know the actual number. The worst part of it all is that these offenders are likely to have been victims at one time themselves. They do what they have been taught, doesn't make it right, but it can cause moral confusion.

So, what sort of punishment would do any good? You catch the guy who touched the little boy and toss him in prison/castrate, but that little boy grows up and continues the cycle. Would better education do any good? You fix the problem here, but it continues on elsewhere in the world.

That's pretty sad and twisted, in many respects. And I wonder....which Hollywood mogul it is.

I assume Corey Feldman is being honest? Why would he lie?

Because he is a has been and needs the attention. I'm not saying this is the case, just that it is a good reason for him to make shit up. A good reason to believe him is he strong connections to Michael Jackson. He hugn out with him a lot.

It's horrible that this happened to him.

However, why the hell doesn't he name names? Because he doesn't want to ruin any chance of a career in Hollywood? Isn't he then one of the people that's enabling pedophilia in Hollywood?

It is because there are too many homos over there.

This isn't new, this has been going on since the creation of the hollywood scene. The promise of fame and fortune to a kid is intriguing and to many adults, also.

I just want to know one thing, where are the parents when all this perversion is taking place. I can't help but think they share in some of the responsibility.

There is a big difference between pedophillia and being with a person that is under age of 18. A statutory number does not determine when a body is sexually mature.

Way to take it out of context. This is just the statistic, but the reality is that children are exploited fairly young. The mass majority of this statistic are these children.

Its easy to say this, but you have to realize, these guys are experts in their field. They are predators, they research, prepare and lure. A child could be groomed for a while to gain their trust, so when the abuse starts, they feel betrayal if they even think of telling someone about it.

Take you for example.. do you want someone looking over your shoulder, accusing you of getting too close to any child you go near? How are we to know you aren't just as sick as these guys? Molesters don't have a face you can look for, you can't pick them out of a crowd.

True but there are also people being prosecuted as pedophiles for having sex with someone 16.

By doing so, you are totally taking away from the sickness of being a pedophile. Need to be kept totally separate.

Someone who is having sex with a pre-puberty person is a sick sick human and deserves the strictist of punishment. Someone having sex with a 16 or 17 yr old most likely just has really bad judgement but in no way should be lumped in the pedophile category.

One of the things left out of the history books are the boy brothels that were in our country.

Very true and I understand you're point. But, I'm saying that we know this goes on everyday in hollywood. And since we're speaking of me, there's noo waay in hell, I would let my child alone with one of these pederasts! Even if He weren't, there is just to much of this going on, so I'd have valid concerns and not leave him alone with one of these predators.

Better yet, I'd make my kid matriculate all the way through school. Phuq the fame, just take the fortune.

If you ask me, physical maturity shouldn't be the deciding factor when it comes to consent, it should more be mental maturity. The brain continues its development until age 25-ish; I am not saying this should be the age, but just because someone is physically ready, doesn't mean they are mentally. We are evolving into a quicker maturing species physically, but the brain isn't on the same pace.

Having grown up through the internet/chat room boom, I can tell you there are a lot of sick fucks out there. I think back to the people I spoke with about certain things when I was 13-18. I was mature speaking for my age, but mentally I wasn't even close to understanding the threats and consequences.
