After probably the 20th or so time I watched it, I think my all-time fave is:
Memento
Not gonna post a trailer 'cuz, for those who haven't seen it, it's probably best to go in totally cold.
Honourable mentions in no particular order:
Full Metal Jacket
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (best acting performances EVAH imo; Richard Burton, Liz Taylor - just... wow)
Blood Simple
North by Northwest
Brazil
Electra Glide in Blue
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Evil Dead II
Rude Boy ('cuz I love The Clash)
Magnificent Seven
Eraserhead (tho is kinda hard to recommend a film that may require post-viewing psychotherapy... yikes)
Big Time (really just an extended Tom Waits video but I included it because, well, Tom Waits is God)

Too many to choose from. But if my arm were twisted it would be Army of Darkness.

It's depends on the genre. I'm taking liberties on what constitutes a genre and I'm not listing them all.
Comedy: Blazing Saddles (followed closely by Galaxy Quest)
Creature: Tremors
Action: Die Hard (followed closely by Aliens)
Adventure: Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade
Rom-Com: The Proposal
Sci-Fi: The Matrix
Drama: Can't choose. No one great drama stands above the rest.

Any Marx Bros movie is the best Movie ever....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I dont have a favourite but lord of the rings trilogy was epic

Check out Brotherhood of the Wolf...

Dubbing is the worst - ruins the acting performances big time. I'll take subtitles anyday. Well, except maybe for the old Japanese Godzilla flix and the like, then it just kinda adds to the silliness.
I also hate AMC's "Movie Notes" or whatever it's called. The thing during some AMC (TV) movies where little explanatory notes pop up constantly to explain the plot or trivial items about the set or the actors etc. Granted, once in awhile it's kinda cool (there were a couple interesting ones for Enter the Dragon) but even then it doesn't make up for how it breaks viewer immersion.
