Amy Winehouse Had No Illegal Drugs in Her System, Toxicology Report Says
    By Tim Kenneally at TheWrap
    Tue Aug 23, 2011

A month after her death, singer Amy Winehouse has given the world one last eyebrow-raising moment.

The family of the "Rehab" belter -- who was found dead in her London residence on July 23 at the age of 27 -- has released a statement announcing that Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system when she died.

The statement went on to note that the full results of an inquest are due in October.

Winehouse, whose struggles with addiction and substance abuse were well-documented, had engaged in several efforts to clean up, and at one point had reportedly considered enlisting the services of celebrity rehab expert Dr. Drew Pinsky. An autopsy for the singer failed to determine the cause of her death.

No illegal, like that says much. The good shit is legal these days, and pushed on you in most doctor's offices/pharmacies. Wonder how many celebs will drop like flies before the drug admin starts to care. Too many people live their lives through a drug-induced haze right now, I doubt the change is anytime in the near future.

I quite enjoy the drug induced haze. If drugs didn't effect my job performance, I would be on them everyday.

Yeah, most likely that's what happened. She mixed booze with legal drugs and legal drugs kill more than Coke, Heroin combined. Especially when you mix them with Alc.

many people just don't realize when you combine multiple CNS depressants the end result is never positive. I've seen so many people go down the road of getting hooked on prescription drugs.

No doubt! All poisons, you'll end up getting hooked then dying but you won't be depressed anymore.

strange because wasn't it reported that a friend or acquaintance acknowledged that the night before she died she went out and partied like a rockstar with coke heroin and horse tranquilizers? either that report was bs, or the family is trying to save face now.

I wondered immediately if she was taking Methodone. That stuff can be lethal, especially combined with pills and alcohol. They may never isolate the cause of death.

I'm guessing the latter, either that or someone fucked up the test.
