Kinda sad that Iran is so nervous of outside influence over their young people that they outlaw any form of organized outing, even if it's just having fun in the park with squirt guns.
So if we allow them to squirt water on each other, Islam suffers?

Ahmadinejad is pretty hard core but most theocracy's are, which coincides with the Iran republic being ultraconservative. a lot of country's on that part of the world are just very cautious about the social movements that can be created on the Internet, especially after what happened in Egypt.

The first and most natural enemy of any governing body is the people it governs. This sort of crack down on people's organisation is also happening in america. Flash mobs are increasingly being portrayed in the media as dangerous, and threatening. The only real threat is memetic exchange of radical political ideas that challenge the ruling class's largesse. Any time people gather, there is conversation and exchange of ideas. In tense political times people talk a lot about politics. I don't know enough about the tea party movement to determine how much of this "movement" is contrived, and characterised in the media. It sure smacks of astro- turfing.
