    Arrow BMW Owners?

Okay so my car has been giving me a lot of problems and im also in the mood for an upgrade and something newer faster and more luxurious. also looking for something sexier and RWD. So I've been thinking about buying a BMW 135i with the M package. I want power luxury and reliable but cant afford Benz or say an m5 lol <3 but anyway ive always loved BMW and when i lived in Germany i owned a beautiful 1987 BMW 335i. Ive been thinking about trying to get approved for a loan for one of these bad boys. Just wanted to know if anyone owns one or a 335i (dont want it) and see if they had any problems or positive or negative things to say about it. I plan on buying either a corvette (c5 im not rich), Honda s2000, or evo 8 or 9 for a play car so im not looking for 50000hp i just want a fun DD car. Also i know a lot of guys dont like the looks of the 135i but i fucking love it.. any feedback welcome guys thanks!!!

I owned a couple 3 (E46) and 5 (E60) series M cars and had some Dinan M series upgraded cars as well. if you can afford it then go for it, the added torque and HP is a blessing in those cars since they are balanced so well you can never have to much power in a BMW.

my sister is actually at the same crossroads right now with her 3 series. she's not sure to take it to the dealer for the M package upgrade or just wait until the lease is up and order one from the factory.

the body and weight distribution of the smaller series BMWs are perfect for that kind of power. I was upset with the performance of my '97 M3 which only put out 240HP at the time, the Dinan stage 3 upgrade w/ supercharger really woke that car up and turned it into a beast! it was a good thing that I knew all the cops in my area cause I pretty much did 100MPH everywhere!

Do not buy a 135. That's like buying a gay Boxster just to say you drive a 'Porsche'. If you can't afford a new 3, then do yourself a favor and buy used. Don't be one of those guys who says "I drive a Beemer" and roll up in a 1-series.

The reason I went 1Series is it was a coupe and I like to have real doors to get in and out of... I just saw they have a 3 coupe now, but my next will be a M1, I don't care what people think about the 1 being the poor mans BMW, it's a good car, we traded in our X6 for a 135i convertible that's how much we like them....now we have 2 1-series and plan on another with the M1

once you drive BMW's for a couple of years straight it's hard to drive anything else. I thought there were all hype until I got my first 328is back in '96.

I have a 2001 330i just about 93K miles right now. Every time I get into a 4 cylinder car I feel like I'm driving a tuna can on wheels. I rented a Ford Fusion in Florida while on vacation - the size of that car actually feels a little bigger than mine, but when I got back home and picked my car up at the airport, I was so happy to feel the weight of my car around me again, it just felt "right".

What I loathe most in just about every other car out there is cheap, plasticy, rattling shit...I've had my Beem for over 3 years and there is not one sound of loose parts anywhere even on the roughest roads, just good solid German engineering, no jiggling bits in the doors nor the trunk....

yep...that was a major point which pretty much made me cross over from american to european cars. no cheap plastic on the dash, etc. i fucking hate american cars (non-muscle cars) and their cheap ass interiors

I had a black 335i sedan (4door) best car Ive ever owned. I put a chip and meth kit on it was fast as a vette. I like lux. car's w/ power and this car was fuggin sweet. Leather, woodtrim, comfort, oh and 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

Here is me and my buddy's 335i.

Do your homework on the late model 1 and 3 series and I would never consider a used one out of warranty. BMW recently had a HUGE problem with the high pressure fuel pumps going out on the 1, 3 and 5 series and when these fuel pumps go out on the turbo cars it was grenading the turbos. BMW finally admitted to the problem and extended the warranty on the fuel pumps, but I'm not sure if it extends anything it grenades downstream.

IMO you lease a new BMW and turn that sucker in at 36K mi and get another one.

The interior on the 1,3 and 5 series seems really cheesy to me with shitty audio and nav systems, not to mention BMW still can't figure out what a fukking cup holder is supposed to be and where its supposed to go.

That said, the 35 turbo cars lay the fuck down.

My GF has a convertible 135m, she's 4'9" and its a good fit for her. Its fast and feels like a little go-kart on rails but IMO, its a girlie car and is way too small.

On the other hand I have a 2011 Charger R/T max. Much more room, sounds a lot better than the 135 (after throwing some Flow Masters on it), better electronics, interior material is about the same, much more room, better on gas, but just a tad slower....and about $20k less
