What he said is smart and correct. He is attempting to separate himself from the blame game and mudslinging due to the fact that most Americans are sick and fucking tired of hearing it. Maybe for the first time in a long time, Americans are so fucking fed up with the shit that they would rather just hear take some blame and responsibility for the the recovery not being much of a recovery at all.

everybody got so wrapped up in the housing market/credit bubble burst then the banking collapse they had forgotten or never new that before 2007 job growth was only increasing at only 0.01% annually and the poverty rate had actually increased during the economic expansion from 2001-2007. the economy was shitty back then and it was shitty in the early 90's the only thing that saved Clinton was that the Internet boom actually created some wealth and increased incomes. that has been the only time in the past 30+ years where people have seen real income growth that was not simply accruing more debt by the continued opening up for credit markets.

nothing gets better until a lot of people get higher wage paying jobs. you can't consume shit on minimum wages. after housing, food and energy there are not much monies left. people been lead to believe that China's imports have ruined the US, sure they have cost plenty good jobs but the majority of consumption is spent on US goods...China only accounted for 2.7% of personal consumption expenses (PCE).

Americans can no longer afford to consume the products made by American company's...
