It is a torturous we found the other day while walking our dogs. We are trying to find him a good home. We had one once we named "Rocky" because he looked like a rock and well, Prince loves all the Rocky movies A cool pet, but not all that fun. Not as lovable as our puppies

I rescued a snapper from a ditch, it must've been hit by a car or something it had a gash in it's shell. We put anesthetizing antibiotics on the wound everyday and fed it steak and chicken. We kept it in a chicken wire covered water pit in the yard with a shade box for it to get out of the sun in. Surrounded that with bricks a few days later it dug itself out and we never saw it again but the wound was sealing up by then. I figure we got it strong enough to dig itself out and go dig itself a new hole to live in we did our job...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Gena Marie; You have great puppies.... Prince is very lucky. Oh and the dogs and tortoise are all really cute. Only problem with tortoise's are they live forever and once they are in captivity for a while they don't do shit. They are basically a eating and shitting rock. My sister has had one for 10 years and I feel terrible for it because it hardly even moves anymore. The kids don't play with it so it just lays in the cage all day.

I like the zoo idea but (now being a A'hole) tortoise stew is pretty good too!!

We thought we rescued him, but after doing some research, we found out that they are native to our climate, so we put him back where we found him. Poor thing little guy.

I'm not a fan of bull dogs per se but I love my bull terrier and pit.

Here's they are. Bull terriers are a rare breed around here. Really fun dogs and you get so many people to stop and ask about them. They don't drool all over the place and are pretty tame. Check one out for the princess.

How big was the snapper? I rescued an eastern box turtle years ago and still have her. She was covered in asphalt/tar and her shell was chipped up. I have the option every year of putting her into hibernation or not. Hibernation would probably prolong her life span though. But i opt to keep her conscious. I estimate from her shell rings shes around 20 yrs old. On occasion i feed her a mouse. She dismembers it with her beak in about 15 mins..

I love turtles. I always stop and get them out of the road. They are all eastern box turtles.
About a month ago I got my first taste of a damn snapping turtle. I came upon a car stoped in the middle of the road. I stoped and got out and it was a huge snapping turtle. This woman had stopped and trying to get it out of the road and it was trying to bite her, lol. It was huge compared to the box turtkes I am used to seeing, lol. We did end up getting it out of the road and faced i towards the river.
Also, Turtles have a homming type sense that always leads them back pretty damn close to where they were born at. From what I have read anyways.
I can not spell worth a damn. I already know this.
so please dont waste your time or mine calling me out on something spelled wrong...
