Damn, I remember reading about his health issues and then him re-signing from Apple after a 6 month leave of absence.
Steve Jobs -- the mega-genius who co-founded Apple Inc. -- has died ... reps for the company have confirmed.
Jobs was 56.
Jobs suffered a number of serious health issues over the years. In 2004, he announced he had a rare -- but treatable -- form of pancreatic cancer ... and had a tumor successfully removed from his pancreas later that year.
In 2009, Jobs received a liver transplant after announcing his "health-related issues were more complex than I thought."
Story developing...

That sucks.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Back when he stepped down as CEO, it was obvious that he was pretty ill. Looked very frail.. so while I say its not shocking, it still sorta is.
Just a girl.... Looking for muscles!!

Definitely a great leader.

I might watch Pirates of Silicon Valley this weekend...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

You'da thought Woz would go before Jobs...

Wow that sucks.

His final will stated that he be buried in a glossy white coffin with no visible hinges or latches.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
to improve their lives.

We'll miss him.

his ideas for the next 5-10 years will be carried out as planned but after that Apple as we know it will definitely suffer and possibly become obsolete

I love my ipad although i know im being spied upon and my every tap tracked...i still love the thing.
Anyway, follow me on this....Lets take a slightly dark turn here shall we. I know ill catch flack from the naysayers and sheeple, but notice how this dude dies as soon as they find out about the hidden spy file in iPhones and iPads? This guy has 8 billies...Thats 9 zero's X 8. he faked his death.

Very sad, he will be missed.

His legacy will always be as an innovator of the modern world...

Sad sad news

“I used to do drugs. I still do drugs. But I used to, too.”

but if you think about it of what real use is that information? 20% of the criminals commit 80% of the crime and the rest is the spur of the moment kind of event.
apple products in general have a cult following of sorts and are above average in price. so the average apple consumer in reality probably isn't doing squat except going to school/work and home and out occasional on the wknds.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I think Jobs was a dickhead, a megalomaniac, and in all likelihood a sociopath. However, even bad people can be remembered for the good they did, and he did a lot of good. He did a lot of good despite is flaws, and in a way, that is a beautiful thing.
My life's work is dedicated to the pursuit of technologies made possible by him, so I will honor him for what he did, and try to forgive or forget the flaws he could no fix.

Would definitely take dedication to lose all that weight, so -- if faked -- kudos to Jobs.
X2
You can't just call him a dickhead or whatever and not offer some examples of his, uh, dickheadedness.
...
Well, you can, but that kinda makes you the dickhead.
