That's an average of a pack a day but you probably avoided more than that. How many do you have when you go out partying? How many do you have when you're sitting in front of the computer surfing. (I remeber once, I just lit up and realized I already had three burning in the ashtray.) How many do you have on a particularly bad day at work?

Over a month? You're past the hard part, WAY TO GO. Just remember, you'll NEVER be completely over them. I haven't had a smoke in over 10 years but I still get cravings. They're not nearly as bad as they used to be and are very short but they're there. I get through them by thinking of how sick I'd get if I did light up.
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

Dude, those nights out ... depends what time I started. I would easily kill a pack in a few hours out at a bar or club!

Surfing! That's where I smoked most of 'em ... just that chain smoke time when you have nothin' goin' on!

Bad days at work ... I'd go out for ... 1 usually, up to 4 if it was really bad!

    I figure I've saved $150 bones ... probably 40 packs ...

The thing that made me think about this, was that I had a dream last night that I light up ... so when I woke up I was so mad at myself .. but then I realized it was a dream! w00t!

Stress is still pretty thick, so I'm so happy that I got through the toughest part, during one of the toughest months!

    You're doing good man!
Once you perge your system of the nicotine (took me three days and a hundred gallons of water) the rest is psychological. And by all means, monitor your diet and stay in the gym. DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON.
Like AlBiff said, that "one" will screw you up badly...I made the mistake last week, after a very bad day at work, of thinking I could 'puff' a cigar. Well, this was not good. It took me two days to shake the nicotine urge. We're talking about an addiction that is comparable to that of heroine and cocaine.
Hang in, keep busy, and don't lose sight of the benefits....you'll be healthier for it.

Where did you get the tracker that keeps track of time not smoking? I know someone that can use it...

    T-boy - I found the tracker at:
    http://www.silkquit.org/

It's a tiny program ... pretty neat! I used to look at it all the time, count the seconds ... I only look now when reminded (anti-smoking thread at another forum pointed me there today) ...

That's rough man ... sorry to hear it.

I quit during a very stressful time ... and found that it helped. Because when things are looking down, I can't use it as an excuse.

That's the way to do it! Start off on a beginner bike, then go from there. I owned my first bike for less than a year. I frickin' killed the thing.

Dude ... my bike is dead. There was a small crack in one of the cable housings so the shop is sending the frame in. I managed to get a sweet deal on an 04 Epic ... it's here today and I am like beside myself I can't freaking wait!!!

Well. Specialized wanted to send a Rockhopper Comp frame. Which is the exact same thing, as we know. The shop was going to charge me to move my busted shit onto the new frame ...

So I said fuq it ... let's go big ... so I'm keeping my rims and pedals, and trading up ... gonna come out of pocket quite a bit, but the deal works out ...

I'm a greedy bitch and didn't want the same frame, I've been needing an excuse to upgrade
