Well I'll be damned, I didn't even know they were shooting yet! Returning actor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently tweeted one of the first ever photos from the set of The Expendables 2, Lionsgate's sequel to Sly's action hit, this time being directed by Simon West. Schwarzenegger's photo includes a shot of him standing with none other than Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, both of whom have roles in this, along side all the regulars like Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, even Jean-Claude Van Damme. I'm sure we'll be seeing photos of all of them eventually, too. But for now, check out this photo!
"Back in action for The Expendables 2! I'm having a fantastic time on set with Bruce and Sly in Bulgaria," Arnold tweeted. Here's a good look at the photo of John Kimble, Rocky and John McClane, via Twitpic:
Millennium Films / Nu Image now has Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Mechanic) set to direct The Expendables 2, with Stallone returning along with Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews and Jet Li. The cast now also includes Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, along with rumors of John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. Shooting is already underway, as this photo confirms, especially because the Lionsgate has already set an official August 17th, 2012 release date next summer. I'm sure this is only the first of many photos to come, considering the hype they're going to build around this crazy cast of action superstars, which may indeed top the original. Travolta plays well into more of a devious villian type role in movies so I am sure that is what he will be doing here. You know the Swordfish, or Face Off roles. Although didn't he do an action character in One night in Paris? If he is the smarmy and sarcastic bad guy I think he can hold his own in this flick but not as a straight up action guy.

Stuntman Killed on Expendables 2 Set, Another Seriously Injured
A stuntman has been killed on the set of Expendables 2, while another has been seriously injured while filming an expolsion scene in Bulgaria.
As many of you know, filming for the anticipated Expendables sequel is under way in Bulgaria. Sadly, a stuntman was killed and another was seriously injured while filming an explosive scene. The injured man has undergone a 5-hour surgery and was listed as "stable" by local authorities.
Police said Friday the two men, whose names and nationalities were not disclosed, were performing a stunt involving an explosion on an inflatable boat on the Ognyanovo dam, just outside the capital, Sofia. The incident occurred late Thursday.
Expendables 2 sees the re-teaming of popular action stars including ArnoldSchwarzenegger
, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren. The film also added the likes of Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme and new-comer Liam Hemsworth. Mickey Rourke recently announced that he would not be returning to the franchise. The film is being directed by Simon West.
