FDA and AAFCO plan to ban pet vitamins
I copied this from Virtual muscle.com..............
December 3, 2002 FDA and AAFCO plan to ban pet vitamins? According to altvedmet.com, a new initiative to remove animal supplements for sale is coming soon. Susan G. Wynn states that "Any supplement labeled specifically for animals and containing ingredients targeted by the FDA / AAFCO recommendations- whether it is sold by pet stores, veterinarians or health food stores - will be pulled." After a long history of battling for increased control over dietary supplements meant for people, it now appears the Food and Drug Administration is involved in something similar for your pets. Although it may sound absurd, this is yet another chapter in the ongoing fight between personal freedoms and governmental "protection" of consumers. |

What amazes me is people want to ban supplements and vitamins, but apparently have no problem with people buying alcohol or tobacco.
Now they want to take the pet stuff? Good Grief ![]() |
