The way things are handled here in the US pisses me off! Young girls just having babies they cannot afford and then expecting the government (our tax dollars) to pay for everything! It's fucked up, if you cannot afford the cost of having a child then use fucking birth control or practice abstinence!!!!

Its not only a finacial cost but a lifelong emotional cost for the parent and the unwanted child. Then you have these bigots who are against abortion and adoption (speaking out against gay couples adopting). Give the poor kid a fighting chance to be loved.

They'll fight passionately for the rights of an unborn child yet when this child is born they couldn't give two shits about them after that because the fact of the matter is, they never did. In addition, when this child reaches a particular age they get lumped into the "just another assehole" category by these moronic pro-life bigots.

Absolutely true in part because educated white couples aren't reproducing and if they are its a single offspring. Not to mention young white girls have finally started to realize having an illegitimate kid at 16 or 19 isn't 'cute' and it all but ruins many opportunities in life.

Shows like this on MTV are aimed to make the whole teen pregnancy thing look cool.

this country was populated in the beginning by teen moms. you know, back when one man's salary was enough to buy a home and take care of a family. and a teen mom knew her place was at home tending the house and raising her child.

On top of that, now girls looking to have babies with different baby dadies is the norm. All for the love of money.

the food dilemma seems a good argument to move toward vegetarian diets. cows consume more water and grain than the end product is worth in terms of nutrition per person fed. financial incentive for poor people to be sterilized might not be so ethical but i bet a lot of people would do it for $50 hell in some areas a couple chickens and roll of toilet paper.

Time to start teaching anal in sex ed...

you may want to check the conservative tax foundation web site. just about every conservative state with the exception of I think 2 receives more federal tax dollars than they pay as they all have the lowest per capita and household incomes in the country. apparently the "right to work states" have the right to work for less money and that's about it. in terms of federal tax dollars the red states have been living off the blue states for decades, aka. "red state socialism".

my guess is you haven't read any of the dozens of reports on this either...conservatives in the south have been living a lie for many years and they don't even know it...it's what happens when one learns everything they know about politics and economics from the tv, they only tell you what they want you to know.
